Here’s what’s in a calendar date..
One full year ago, October the 16th, 2018..
Your Captain left Anchorage, Alaska, with my ‘sails set’ for Seattle, Washington; Seoul, South Korea; Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Irkutsk, Russian Siberia.
One full year. That’s what’s in the two dates, October the 16th, 2018 and 2019.
And the one thought that is predominant in my mind is this : Where did the past year go?
It seems like one blurry whirl wind with so many events all wrapped up into this past year for Patti and for me.
I successfully arrived in Irkutsk, Russian Sibera, October the 29th 2018, and I was off-and-running. Patti joined me in February.

Hard to wrap my mind around a year having passed so quickly and with such a full plate of experiences. This has been one of our best years, I think, in terms of discovering and thoroughly enjoying far away places! I love being beside you and also sometimes just following in your wake!! Smiles, hugs. Indeed, it is difficult to grasp all that has happened in this past single year isn’t it? No question it ranks-up-there with our other great years and there have been phenomenal trips but this was a full year. Few in this lifetime get to DO Russian Siberia and to DO it for a little over nine (9) months. Whew. Nice, oh-so-nice, to have you along for the adventures. Love, Cap
