DEC 21, 19 .. WINTER SOLSTICE DAY IN ALASKA

The Winter Solstice is a big deal up here in Alaska. The sun now begins its return North after heading South last June. We ‘gained’ one minute of additional daylight today.

And?

Today I took a very deep breath, and with Patti’s help and support, I resumed taking Risedronate for my male osteoporosis. I stopped taking the Risedronate a year ago when I could no longer get it in Russian Siberia. It was a big move emotionally for me. I don’t like taking it because it has some serious (as in death) possible side-effects if not taken properly. On the other hand, my Mayo Clinic doctor asked me to resume taking it so he can re-evalutate my bone condition when we see one another this up coming February. Previously I’d written him from Mongolia that I’d stopped the regimine and Patti had spoken to his staff by telephone as well.

I was out-and-about today and this evening Patti and I enjoyed a really pleasant (Singapore Rice Noodle) dinner together.

After coming home I had a long visit with Tom Tiger.

Hello from Michigan! It has been a long time since we have been in touch. It’s good to see that you are still globetrotting. I will send positive energy your way as you resume treatment. Peace be unto you!
