JAN 24, 20 .. WE ARE NOW SAFELY IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA
Patti and I drove South out of Lake Havasu City at 12noon. We drove just about 100 miles to Interstate 10 (center red balloon) and then headed East to Phoenix. There is a short cut (you can’t see it on the below map) so we did not pass through Quartzsite
We checked into our Motel 6 in Tempe, Arizona, at 4pm after driving 208 miles. Truth be told we did arrive at 4pm but it took almost a full hour to get into our room. They are refurbishing the rooms on the ground floor and I insisted that we needed a ground floor room. Somehow they got a room with one King Bed on the ground floor ready for us and it is an excellent room with a mini-fridge and a mirowave oven. So all’s well that ends swell.
