DUMPSTER

I said .. OH INDIA COME ON!  YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!

Yesterday .. Monday .. the NEXT day following last Sunday .. one-short-day-later .. I saw the below ‘cleaned-up-very-nicely’ scene!

Yesterday .. YESTERDAY .. less-than twenty-four-hours ago .. I put up a Post titled .. ANOTHER VISIT TO MY RESTAURANT AL BAIQ ..

I could have titled it .. GOODBYE TO MY RESTAURANT AL BAIQ .. but I didn’t.  Since I am moving out of my room at the Raahat Inn .. I very probably will not be eating at AL BAIQ again.

So yesterday WAS IT for AL BAIQ in terms of any additional Posts.  Well .. IT NEVER FAILS ..

This morning was my last breakfast and my good-byes to all the staff.  Habib (on the right) and Rabeek (it was NOT my idea) asked me for a photo with the two of them. Santhosh snapped the photo with each of their cell phones.  So I asked Santhosh to snap the below photo.

THEN .. will you just look at the Dosai they brought out for me!

ALBAIQ 001

ALBAIQ 002

Below is the ‘Standard Dosai’!

DOSAI

Do you want ‘touching’?  Rabeek asked me IF I would like to stay a night or two before I go to Ooty with he and his wife!  I was ‘blown away’ by his kind offer!

I will miss them a lot.  I miss a lot of people ALL-OVER India when I move-on.  The staff at Daily Bread being a recent example.

GULLIBLE ASKED .. “Why do I sleep on top of the covers and not under the covers.  The blankets are NOT washed very often and would seem to be a serious threat to one’s health.”

Many replies here ..

You CAN run but you can NOT hide!

The OVERWHELMING majority of disease carriers are water and food borne.  Pick a number .. 90% .. 95%. Germs do not generally survive dry conditions.  Blankets are considered to be dry.

Then you have the air you breathe when in a jam-packed bus or taxi or even on-the-street.

How about the money you are constantly handling?

If you will carefully notice in the below photo .. I DO place a sheet between me and the blanket.

BLANKET

I also carefully inspect a blanket for a label at its bottom. In India most of the blankets have a label at the bottom. The absolutely and the totally worst ‘blanket situation’ is on trains!  IF you are going to get sick from a blanket a TRAIN is the place!

THANK YOU ‘ZILLA for asking me .. “Cap why do you sleep on top of the covers in the United States?”  It has-to-do with my feet and legs NOT liking to be confined. I just like to have the top layer loose and free and NOT confining. Tucked-in sheets and blankets ARE confining.

To close for now .. I have told you that at the Raahat Inn I washed my laundry and hung it out to dry during the night BECAUSE of day-time crowding for clothes-line space. Just look at the below ‘scene’ on-the-roof.

LAUNDRY

Now I have fifty three (53) photos to select from to show you my NEW DIGS.  Go over to Blogspot to see them.

HERE I GO! .. Cap
