JAN 25, 21 (Part 2 of 2) .. OUR SUNDAY .. THE NFL CONFERENCE FINALS ..
Oh My … Oh My .. What a nice day today was for Patti and me. We both were up-and-at-em in time to eat breakfast and to enjoy seeing the kickoff of the early game (11:05am Alaska time) featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing at the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Conference Finals. It was a really tense game to watch as we REALLY wanted Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win. I won’t bore you with a play-by-play description of the game except to say that, overall, it was a really evenly contested game.
And ? ‘Our Team’ in the game, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, won the game 31 – 26.
Then came the afternoon game (that began at 2:40pm Alaska time) with Josh Allen and his Buffalo Bills visiting Kansas City to play Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the AFC Conference Finals. We could really relax watching this game because we were not passionately rooting for either team, hoping for an interesting game and one the best team of the two would win. This proved to be the Kansas City Chiefs who beat the Bills 38 – 24. The Bills got off to a great start leaping to a 9 – 0 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. But by halftime it was 21 – 12 for the Chiefs who never trailed in the second half.
We watched several hours of post-game coverage on ESPN and the NFL Channel totally enjoying our afternoon football watching.
And ?
In two weeks, Sunday, February the 7th, it will be the SUPER BOWL with the Kansas City Chiefs going to Tampa to play the Buccaneers. Patti and I will be front-and-center !
