MAR 22, 21 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

For What It’s Worth .. Something is happening here ..

What’s happening here ?

I, your Captain, am in the process of losing-it. Well at least I know that I am losing it. When one has (past tense) lost it one does not know that one has lost it.

Change. Always Change. And in the IT (Information Technology) world change rules. However, when one is 84 years young, these constant changes to the program (Word Press) that I use to write and to publish these Posts gets really challenging. I keep having to relearn all over what I will get down pat until the IT minds come at me with yet another in the never ending changes to Word Press.

Now we have moved onward from the above current frustrations that I am facing getting refamiliar with what I think I know about doing THIS.

BOTTOM LINE :

Patti is 100% complete with all of her appointments down here at the Mayo Clinic. As Patti has coined the term, we are now free-to-roam-a-little. And so we plan to do some roaming.

Where will we two roam ? We don’t know ! Maybe today, Monday, the 22 of March 2021, we will roam up to Flagstaff, Arizona. Maybe we won’t. Got it ?

I would insert a map showing Flagstaff, Arizona, BUT I am no longer able to do that until I re-learn the map process due to a recent change by the IT Experts to the Google Map Function that I have been using on Word Press.

RHETORICAL QUESTION : Don’t you and Patti get sick and tired of eating fast food from fast food places?

ANSWER : NO.

The below Cashew Chicken came from a Chinese Fast Food Restaurant called Asian Wei on 19th avenue just North of Union Hills Road.

The above Cashew Chicken was to-die-for good.

TODAY’S TRIVIA : Last week, we missed an important Mayo Clinic Appointment, because I over slept because for the first time in (and I mean this) forever, I slept for over 7 hours without awakening one time. You can set a clock with my night time awakenings from ranging from 1-1/2 hours to 3 hours.

Last Night I did it again (with no consequences). I slept solidly for seven and one half hours not one time awakening.

Something IS happening here !

I could write a very long Post just about our doings this past Saturday. So long that, when I get into showing you about last Saturday, see the below sneak-preview photos, it will be done on several of our websites (blogspot and our A.A. website).

Smiling with Patti .. Cap

Two sneak-preview photos :

Last Saturday, the 20th of March, I attended my very first, live and in-person, A.A. meeting in almost ten (10) months. I will be doing a comprehensive post about how it felt attending a live and in-person meeting after almost ten (10) months of Zoom Meetings.

Last Saturday, after my above 7am in the morning A.A. meeting, in the afternoon, Patti and I visited the home of friends who have the most amazing yard full of cactus plants one could ever imagine.

It will be fun to share the above with those of you who are interested.

Cap and Patti

Oh don’t get me started on WordPress. My website uses it, too. Since I updated to the latest version, all people’s comments disappeared. And one Page is missing the left-side column. A knowledgeable friend says I’m using an old Theme and need to change to a newer one. But I can’t find one that uses exactly the same ‘look.’ Etc., etc., etc.

Hi Linda .. I don’t know IF you check back for replies to comments you make (I really try hard to reply to any comments because I so appreciate them) but here goes.

For openers, it is not just Word Press who constantly do updates. I find the same frustrations on blogspot as well. Without asking IF I am interested in massive formatting changes, they just appear (Word Press and Blogspot) and I have to figure out how to again navigate my own edit pages. Oh My Do I Ever Understand when you say .. Etc, etc, etc. Makes me crazy Linda. But Whatcha Gonna Do ? Smiling .. Cap
