Yes, yes, YES !! I know. The above is NOT what you are looking for here is it ??
High Noon is what today felt like to Patti and myself. Last August the 26th we did a little rundown on Patti’s current medical challenge.
In the above Post we wrote : Next Tuesday the 31st, Patti and I have an early morning appointment to meet in person with her surgeon to discuss Patti’s options.
Tuesday, August the 31st.
Our appointment with Patti’s breast surgeon was to have been today at 7:30AM. God IS good. We were asked yesterday by her surgeon’s staff IF it would be OK for us to come into her office at 12:45PM for a 1PM appointment.
We were there at 12:30PM, ready for Patti’s appointment at 1PM. We were told that Patti’s surgeon would not be available until 1:30PM. We waited. We were in a good humor. At 2:15PM we were ushered into an examination room.
This is short, to the point and brief.
We both were thrilled out-of-our-minds with our appointment. Patti’s surgeon is (in a word) an incredible person. It was an instant bond.
Basically Patti has (exactly as she did in October 2012) a very small even tiny (yes it is malignant) tumor that in all probability will be removed with no drama. Go in, get it, and out. It appears there will be no radiation and no chemotherapy (just like in October 2012). Patti’s treatment will include a hormone that will assist in preventing further cancer from returning.
On a zero to ten we hit a 10.
Yes we both are stressed and will need to just relax. We hope to have a date for surgery by this Friday.
