MAR 3, 22 .. ON THE ROAD .. PHOENIX, AZ .. NORTH TO LAKE HAVASU, AZ
Ash Wednesday March the 2nd
Patti and I were busy getting prepared to leave Phoenix tomorrow (Thursday) for Lake Havasu City.
At 1pm our phone rang. It was the Mayo Clinic calling to advise me that I needed to schedule a blood draw requested by one of my Mayo Doctors. I asked, “Can we come over in an hour at 2pm?” .. “Come over, your check in is 2pm.” So out and off Patti and I went.
You go to the Mayo Clinic and you DO THE DEAL.
Into Building 2 Patti and I walked. We were screened and I was checked in for my appointment. In no time I was called and they drew three vials of my blood.
When I returned to the waiting lobby, Patti told me about a very interesting man she had met while I was getting my blood drawn. Patti said he had a T-Shirt on that said .. MAYO CLINIC SAVED MY LIFE.
Then Patti showed me some ‘business cards’ the man gave her.
They read ..
Smiles are like medication. They help you feel better.
Share a Smile with someone today.
Here is your special perscritption : The Doctor says: Smile! and think happy thoughts !
Smiles are free !
How about sharing one today.
Everyone could use a smile.
Guess what time it is? It’s time to : Smile
Doesn’t that make you feel better!
Then suddenly the man was standing in front of Patti and I jumped up and asked him IF I could photograph his T-Shirt.
Please meet Rafael.
Then we got a small group photo.
Wow Huh ! ?
I have his email and his business card and we will be in-touch.
As we parted company, I asked Rafael if he would like one of the spiritual pocket stones that I am now carrying with me to share with others. There are 25 different spiritual words. The photo below gives you an example of what I am talking about.
He said sure and selected two of them.

- MAR 2, 22 .. WRAPPING UP THIS FEBRUARY 2022 MAYO CLINIC VISIT
- MAR 4, 22 .. SAFE AND HAPPY TO BE IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA
What a wonderful encounter in the waiting room. You just never know where you might make a new friend :).
This was 100% because your Aunt Patti was out in the waiting area while I had blood drawn. She spotted him with his incredible T-Shirt and the two of them connected. Then I showed up and the rocking and the rolling was ON big time. Yes you never ever know do you? The mushroom festival (fungus fair in Girdwood) and YOUR life changed. Smiling .. Cap
Hi Cap, Hi Patti,
As usually I finish my day with reading your new page. Today’s is like a fairy tail! I couldn’t put it down until I finished reading and what’s more I couldn’t propose where the plot of the story of today’s page would take me!….
It was such a relief to know that you finally met the “smile manual” cards guy (he’d appeared like a phantom in today’s story of Mayo Clinic) And?…. He is real and now owns a couple of your enchanted spiritual stones!… Lucky him!!! WOW!
I feel you, Cap, can try your chance in writing short stories! I liked this one above very much.
Love. Hugs. Wish you God speed to Lake Havasu City. Olga
P.S. Are you leaving for Lake Havasu City at 11 p.m or 11a.m?
Hi Olga. We left at 10:47am (almost) llam in the late morning. Thanks for your kind words about enjoying some of my writings. Smiles .. Cap
