MAR 4, 22 .. SAFE AND HAPPY TO BE IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA

I spent all day this past Wednesday doing all I could do to get us out of Phoenix in a timely manner on Thursday (yesterday).

Thursday March 3rd.

I was up and at ’em at 6:30am this morning. Even with all I did yesterday to get us out of Phoenix as early as possible, it bordered on a small miracle when we pulled away from Motel 6 in Phoenix at 10:47 this morning.

Off we went, heading South down Interstate 17 heading for Interstate 10 West towards Los Angeles. At Peoria Avenue we saw an overhead traffic advisory that the exit to Interstate 10 Westbound was closed ! Arg what to do? So I got off Interstate 17 and I headed West on Indian School Road and then cut South down to Thomas Road going West on Thomas Road to 55th Avenue when I went South to McDowell Road and continued West on McDowell Road turning South at 59th Avenue and, finally, onto Interstate 10 West.

At the limit we headed West and then hit a construction delay that really slowed us down. Once we finally got past this delay I pulled off Interstate 10 West and let Patti take the wheel. I was toast having been going non stop since 6:30am. Patti drove us to Exit 45 Vicksburg Road. Having rested for almost a full hour I took the wheel. We arrived safely into Lake Havasu City at 2:35pm. 

Unpacking our truck I hit a fatigue wall about 4:45pm and ate a very good snack and then slept for two full hours. Here it is now 12:45am Friday and I am still up.

It .. Is .. Really .. Great .. To .. Be .. Back .. In .. Lake Havasu City, Arizona !!

We are paid (cash) in full until April the 2nd.

Tomorrow late afternoon, we are buying a Pizza Hut, Spicy Lovers Pizza! It features a Spicy Marinara Sauce, Fiery Flakes, and Red Chili Peppers, one of the hottest Pizzas around! And taking it to our 5pm meetings at Our House.

To repeat, we are very happy to be back in Lake Havasu City.
