SEVERE FLOODING IN MANLEY HOT SPRINGS, ALASKA.

Manley Hot Springs sees worst flooding in decades.
The worst flooding seen since 1956 hit Manley Hot Springs Friday night and Saturday morning as an ice jam on the Tanana River sent water into the small Yukon-Koyukuk community.

What more can I say but to ask you to look at the below links :

Patti and I are stunned at this turn of events.

We NEVER EVER know what’s coming do we?

We’ve absolutely no idea whatsoever as to the condition of our cabin up  there.

Wondering : What is next?

Wow. That’s right up on the same level as the lodge and your place, isn’t it? Hopefully, your cabin will be okay because it’s a few feet off the ground.

I saw photos earlier and thought it was just the lower levels along the river but that Northern Commercial bldg. is right near the lodge.

Yes the flooding in the photos is indeed on a level plane with our place Gullible. Yes our cabin is elevated several feet above the ground so we are hoping any water damage will be minimal. Thanks for your interest. Cap and Patti

We have two homes here in Alaska Olga. Anchorage is our main home. However for some years (going back to the late 1990’s into 2002) my main home was at the cabin in Manley Hot Springs. Smiles Olga .. Cap and Patti
