MAY 16, 22 .. PATTI AND I WERE UP EARLY THIS MONDAY MORNING ..

Home, in Anchorage, Alaska, Patti usually sleeps until 11:30am because Patti often reads and does crossword puzzles until very late. I myself often sleep until 9:30am to 10am.

This Morning we two were up very early for both of us at 8:30am Alaska. The Problem : 8:30am Alaska is 12:30pm noon-time here in the Eastern Time Zone and by the time we were up and ate breakfast we were well into the afternoon.

When your day is beginning at 1:30 or 2pm, you aren’t going to get too much accomplished. So the two of us didn’t do all that much today. To further dismiss today, I had to lie down (read : collapse) and nap around 6pm Detroit time for awhile. Then, running late, out and off we went to pickup a Subway Tuna Footlong en route to our 8:30pm evening (one GREAT) meeting. Now, at 1am Detroit, I have got to go to bed because I have to get Danny’s red truck back to him at 7am Alaska which is 11am Detroit so Danny can head North to his cabin up at the tip of Michigan’s Thumb. I love to use terms like that so Olga, over in Chita, can ask : “Cap what is Michigan’s Thumb!!”

The Problem : At 1am Detroit my body says it’s only 9pm Alaska and why oh why are we going to bed at 9pm Captain? Translation : It’s difficult to get to sleep at 9pm Alaska in the evening.

Bottom Line : We ARE really loving being here, totally enjoying seeing friends in meetings that date back decades.

    Dear Cap,
So happy to see you again on the pages! Now I’m not worried when I don’t see a NEW PAGE every new day (you’ve already explained why it’s so :-)) But I’m still waiting for a new page with a little bit of anxiety…. I’d like you and Patti to be fortunate every time. You deserve it!
Well, about “wheelchairs” and “Michigan’s Thumb” :-) … Usually I start surfing the Net to find EXPLANATION to what I’ve found in your pages but this time (I’m really LUCKY :-)) you suggest to explain the TERM yourself! Yeah!
By the way, I thank you for detailed explanations about “wheelchair assistants”. I think of myself how I couldn’t understand that NOT ALL THE WAY (surfaces) IS flat (what’s more I’ve forgotten the word FLAT and used PLAIN).
The end of the school year doesn’t influence me positively 8-( ….
Give a BIG hug to my dear Patti, pls
    :-)
