AUG 22, 22 .. BE LOVE .. BE LIGHT .. A WEDDING CELEBRATION IN OUR CONDO BUILDING ..

To some degree, when six families are living in the same (relatively small) building, we know (if only in a vague manner) bits and pieces of our neighbors lives. This is especially true when you really like some of them and interact with them almost daily.

To coin a phrase : You get to know them.

Some time ago, one of our upstairs neighbors told us that they were getting married. We only knew it would be at some point in time, but we had no idea of any details.

This past Saturday evening, we noticed a rather large white van parked in front of our building. We could tell immediately, by the way the visitors around the van were formally dressed, that the wedding celebration was on and it was happening in their condo up on the third floor and was a dressy affair. Patti said at one point in time, “Oh look, it looks like there are two bridesmaids.”

Patti and I were not any part of the wedding but it was fun to watch some of the doings going on right outside in front of our first floor window.

And Captain? That was that for us.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Part of my daily routine is to get up early, somewhere around 4am to 5am, bring in our newspaper and that of the other third floor neighbor across from the newlyweds. And so this morning I did just that.

AND WOW !

We knew it was a fancy and dressy affair but I wasn’t prepared for what was remaining out in front of their door.
