OCT 4, 22 .. HUGH CONNORS COINED A TERM IN HIGH SCHOOL .. WHANG IT !!

Hugh Connors and I were High School buddies from September 1950 to June of 1954. Hugh and I both had surnames that began with a C .. Chastain and Connors.  Back in the day, the 1940s into the 1950s, Patti’s own personal experience agrees with me on this, basically all of the students in school were seated in alphabetical order. As a result, quite often in fact, Hugh and I sat side-by-side IF we were in the same class. Because we two shared strong ‘person-to-person chemistry’, the two-of-us became very close friends.

One of Hugh’s most favorite expressions .. said with gusto .. was ..

“WHANG IT!”

So I decided to adopt Hugh’s WHANG IT philosophy here and now in this very post.

They said : “It couldn’t be done!”

Below are two photos of our beloved Singapore Rice Noodles.

“They said we couldn’t go out to dinner for Asian food and NOT eat Singapore Rice Noodles.”

WHANG IT !!

THAI VILLAGE RESTAURANT

The other day, Patti and I decided to go out and find a Thai Restaurant here in Anchorage to our liking. Below are two photos of our Pad Thai.

The Pad Thai looked sort of similiar but tasted very different from what we are used to having.

However, we really enjoyed our Pad Thai outing and we really enjoyed the dressy ambience of the Thai Village Restaurant we dined in.

So there youl have it.

Smiling .. Cap and (I hope) Patti too.  (Yes, Patti too, with more smiles! Signed, Patti)
