NOV 3, 22 .. ALL ILLUSIONS ABOUT WINTER BEING HERE ARE HISTORY !!

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 22

Do all of you know why I often ‘ date a post ‘ a day earlier than the publishing date of the post?

I usually sit down about 10pm in the late evening to write a post.

So this post is actually being written in the late evening of Wednesday, November the 2nd.

However, this post will actually be published on Thursday, November the 3rd, because the firm that hosts my website is in the Eastern Time Zone thus four hours ahead of us up here in Alaska. So in the heading of the post you see it dated November 3, 2022.

BUT the photos were all snapped on Tuesday, November the 2nd. So I am ‘dating the post’ itself as November the 2nd.

I know !! Does anyone actually care ?? Well I care enough to let you know why it, and many other posts, have two dates.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 22

When we have our very first real snow sometime during the Autumn, in some ways our winter begins here in Alaska. BUT our first, and perhaps our second and maybe even our third snowfalls either all but 100% melt or 95% melt. After our first snowfall, we all know winter is not really upon us. Yet. The first snowfall tells us ‘ winter IS coming ‘.

Below are photos of our first and our second snow days.

From our living room windows.

From our bedrooms window.

So even we up here have to admit that our second snow was a REAL event BUT !! we never know.

Today Patti and I were out running errands. It was about 3pm this afternoon when I looked out and saw that it had began to snow. Our truck was accumulating some snow on it and I thought, ” Oh My .. This is IT .. Winter IS here to stay !! “

And it continued to snow the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. When we arrived home at 5pm, below you can see what the area around our Condo looked like.

That’s all for now folks !!

Cap and Patti

Loving the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions. Loving watching The World Series. The second no-hitter in the entire history of the World Series was thrown today. Tonight was Survivor and was one of our most memorable episodes dating back twenty two years (for Patti) to May 31st 2000.
