NOV 11, 22 .. VETERAN’S DAY

Yes ! I’ve said this MANY times before ! BUT I will now repeat it : To this instant in time, November 11th 2022, in my entire lifetime, the absolutely best single decision I have made was the day (the 29th of January, 1958) that I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. P-E-R-I-O-D ! There have never been any ifs, ands or buts. No qualifications.

Yes ! I’ve also stated the below proud information MANY times as well !

You have ..

The Coast Guard.

The Marine Corps.

The Navy.

The Army.

The Air Force.

I am proud my father was a member of the United States Coast Guard. After serving over 6 years as an enlisted member of the Marine Corps, I became a Commissioned Officer in the United States Navy Seabees. My eldest son served in the United States Army. My youngest son served in the United States Air Force.

And Patti ?? Patti’s father and her older brother both served in the United States Navy. Her father served during WWII and then was called back to serve in the Korean War. Her brother is a retired veteran.

On Veteran’s Day 2022, both Patti and I solemly pay homage to, and honor, all veterans, living and deceased, who honorably served our county.

    Congratulations!
It’s so powerful to feel the link of generations. You’ve given a clear example how to stay full of respect and carry your own life honorably.
    Congrats!

Thanks so very much for your thoughtful comment Olga. On our nightly televison show (Wheel of Fortune) this week the contestants that they hosted on the show, featured military veterans. One contestant said that thirty four (34) members of her family served or are currently serving, in the Armed Forces. Now THAT is a family connection isn’t it Olga? Cap and Patti (with whom I watch Wheel of Fortune).

        Dear Cap, Dear Patti,
I used to think of my family tree and guess what, ALL of my ancestors are teachers or medics or military people. And they are 27 people. I know why I have ALL of their professional “likes” and “dislikes” ☺
Thank you my dears for making me feel full of family skills’ respect! ♥
