In yesterdays Dot Net post .. I talked about my ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING experience with my Tour Guide and with My-Man Dinesh and with his travel company .. MAHARAJAS Tours and Travel.
By-the-way! In the below photo Dinesh is showing-me the-ideal-color of a tea leaf ready for harvesting. He said that the dark green tea leaves are past-their-prime!
Yesterday I wrote of ALL OF THE MANY TOUR INTEREST POINTS that I simply said .. “Dinesh I am NOT interested in the Rose Garden .. the Dam and the Reservoir .. the Power Boating .. the Elephant Ride for 700 Rs Indian and a long wait .. the City Park .. let’s SKIP lunch and just move along here Dinesh! ” And we did.
Our ‘day’ yesterday was to have been from 9:30AM to 5PM. I was here at the Internet Cafe about 1:30PM ‘give-or-take’ a few minutes either way. So basically I ‘cut out’ 2-1/2 hours (33%) of my ‘tour day’. I am positive that Dinesh was perhaps somewhat disappointed .. being the professional he is .. that I ‘rejected’ much of his schedule.
SEE MY ABOVE WORDS OF WISDOM TO MYSELF!
I have my agenda .. I can NOT do everything that there is to do in this lifetime.
TODAY WAS FAR WORSE!
Basically .. I rejected the ENTIRE tour SCHEDULE for today!
When we got to the wildlife refuge .. the line to enter had to be an absolute minimum of two (200) hundred feet long. Then .. after entering .. you had to board a 20 person mini-bus for your tour. I did not have the patience for a two hour visit! I did NOT even ask what the extra fee would cost. I simply ‘waved Dinesh off’ and we left.
The Tea Museum. 75 Rs to enter. 20 Rs for a camera. Several movies. I simply ‘waved Dinesh off’ and we left.
We left at 8AM and I was here at the Internet Cafe sitting Ready-To-Go at 11AM. Don’t ask me ‘what else I missed’. Don’t ask me how much time I saved. A LOT!
WHAT DID I RECEIVE FOR MY 1,000 Rs ‘Tour’ today?
