JAN 4, 22 .. TODAY WE ARE OUT AND OFF NORTH TO SEARCHLIGHT, NEVADA

But first .. Let’s get you all here to Laughlin, Nevada.

Tuesday, January 3rd

Patti and I left our apartment in Lake Havasu City about 12:30pm pm this early afternoon. We then made a 1/2 hour stop at Lowe’s then another 1/2 hour stop at Wendy’s for peppermint Frosty’s at the junction of U.S. Hwy 95 and Interstate 40. With Patti driving, we headed West on I-40 at 2pm for Needles, California, where we then headed North on U.S. Hwy 95 for Laughlin, Nevada. Enroute we stopped at Walmart in Fort Mohave. We arrived at the Edgewater Casino Hotel at 3:36pm.

I NEVER tire of photographing the Edgewater.

We got into our room (2 queen beds) and I immediately and instantly went downstairs and pleaded (with hat in hand, tears in eyes, on bended knee) with the front desk check-in staff to let us have a single king bed because it gives us MUCH more room to spread out in. THIS is the problem with booking reservations with a third party (in this case Priceline) because the hotel is not a party to the contract (2 queen beds) I agreed to. The same applies to airline reservations. If problems arise you can’t deal with the airline staff. No you must deal with the third party. 

Luckily the front desk clerk (with whom I had some good personal chemistry) switched us into a single king bed room. 

After getting our things up and into our room, and doing some organizing, I finally lay down about 5pm to rest before we went to see Jeopardy with Tom and Ginny at 7pm.

We enjoyed a great visit as we watched Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Enroute back to the Edgewater, we picked up a 12-inch Tuna Subway sandwich. 

WE have already extended our visit by two days. Checking in today, Tuesday, January 3rd and checking out Wednesday, January 11th.

Now at 2:10am Wednesday the 4th of January, it is time for me to hit-the-hay !
