Today’s Rhetorical Question is : Did YOU survive yesterday’s Friday the 13th ?

Friday the 13th ..
Patti and I most certainly survived Friday the 13th very well. We continue to settle into our apartment. This will go on for some time. Around 3pm we went out to Smith’s Food and Grocery and suddenly I found out that there is something called the Mega Millions Lottery.
Oh Come On Captain ! Have you been living under-a-rock ? The Mega Millions Jackpot is now over one billion dollars and millions upon millions of people around the U S. (and ? the world ?) are playing it.
And what Captain does the Mega Millions Lottery have to do with you visiting Smith’s?
I was making a return and the return line was horrendous. Long and slow. I persisted and finally accomplished my return.
This evening, after our Couples Meeting, around 8:30pm, we were again at Smith’s. There was absolutely NO line at the Customer Service desk. I jokingly said to the staff, “This must be the time to bring in a return. I was here this afternoon and the line and the return process was challenging.” They all laughed saying, ” Fridays and Tuesdays are Mega Million Lottery days and people are here buying their Mega Million Lottery tickets! “
” Have you been living under-a-rock Sir? ” Just kidding. They didn’t say that.
After finishing up at Smith’s this afternoon, we went and checked our mail at our new Post Office Box for Amazon orders. I am a volunteer for the Balloon Festival next weekend and we visited the location of tomorrows orientation session to confirm its location, a place we’ve never visited.
And-so-on. I ate a very late lunch and took an hour and a half nap. Then it was out to our 7pm Couples meeting. The meeting was, yet again, phenomenal.
That’s it for Friday the 13th. Basically a phenomenal day. Perfect weather. It couldn’t possible be much better.

I have volunteered to assist at the Balloon Festival next weekend.
Today, at 9am, Patti and I will attend the orientation meeting for volunteers.

Lake Havasu City is one amazing place. We are loving it.

Today, Saturday, January the 14th, 2023, the National Football League Playoffs begin with two games today. Three games tomorrow. And one game Monday. Today Patti and I will watch, with great interest, the Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers game.
