APR 3, 23 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

For What It’s Worth, in yesterday’s Post I wrote : “Our good friends Tom and Ginny, sent us two amusing stories. Below is one of them.” Tomorrow I’ll share the second one.

Tomorrow has arrived. Below is the second amusing story..

A drunk guy in Alaska decides to go ice fishing. So he packs up his stuff and goes out onto the ice.

He starts sawing a hole in the ice, and a loud booming voice says, “YOU WILL FIND NO FISH UNDER THAT ICE!”

The drunk looks up, ignores it, and continues on. The voice repeats, “YOU WILL FIND NO FISH UNDER THE ICE.”

The drunk looks up and says, “God? Is this you God trying to warn me?”

The voice says “NO, I’M THE MANAGER OF THIS ICE RINK.”

Again, Thanks Tom and Ginny !

Montey, our neighbor Rebecca’s dog, Gets A Bath.

It was absolutely amazing how still and calm Montey stayed during his bath. These are but three in a series of “Montey Takes A Bath” photos. I may post more of them over on blogspot. Then again, I may not.

I don’t really have a category for the below Baseball Tidbit. So I used the subtitles : “Baseball MLB” and “Tidbits / Random and Otherwise.

Patti noticed the below Baseball Tidbit in our local Lake Havasu City Newspaper, TODAY’S NEW HERALD.

“In 1931, Jackie Mitchell, a 17-year-old female pitcher, struck out both Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in an exhibition match between the Class AA minor league Chattanooga Lookouts and the New York Yankees.”

Can you imagine that ? A 17-year-old female pitcher striking out two of the most famous baseball players on arguably one of the most famous baseball teams, The New York Yankees of the 1920’s.
