APR 10, 23 .. WHOA !! MOOSE-ON-THE-LOOSE IN ANCHORAGE

Too, too funny. It is one thing for our friends in Anchorage, Alaska, to alert us to the fact that a local Moose made its way inside of Providence Hospital in Anchorage.

However, when Tom Tiger, a Michigan friend, sends us the same information from the Detroit News, NOW THAT IS SOMETHING.

National News.

Just in case one or more of you hasn’t a-clue-in-a-carload as to what I am talking about, just feast your eyes upon the below two photos of a Moose-On-The-Loose inside of the Providence Hospital in Anchorage.

I believe that these photos are courtesy of the Providence Hospital Security Staff. The Detroit News implies such. I assume that the Anchorage Daily News published them as well.

Do Patti and I know such Moose activities?

Oh Yes.

June the 10th 2018

I had an up close, in my face, near death Moose encounter. On a beautiful day, I was out and off for a nice “Walk in our Local Woods”. Actually I was heading in the direction of Providence Hospital.

What to do if a Moose challenges you.

Suddenly a young “yearling Moose” came out of the woods towards me. I figured if its going to kill me, I may as well snap some photos! And so I did!

Notice its “ears” are laid back against its head. This is a “very bad sign”.

“Well Hello Moose!”

One “sudden upward flick of their hooves” and you are history. “Hello Saint Peter. What just happened?”

“Whew!! Its “ears” are “up”, a VERY GOOD SIGN. The below photo was NOT a tele-photo shot. No! I could almost feel its breath on my shaking hands!

Then “in a twinkling” it raced off and away into the woods.

My hands were shaking so much it is a wonder the above photos were not all “blurry”.

At our Condo. Just one of many Moose visits.

“Yo! Can I come in for a visit?”

“I think I can squeeze inside of your bedroom!”

At our local Sitka Street Park.

“Yo! Who are you and what are YOU doing in MY Park?”

And off the Moose wandered!

Sunday, Easter Sunday, April 9th 2023

We enjoyed a very nice Easter Sunday. I was up early and walked (round trip 1.6 miles) down to our local hospital and back to get Patti a Sunday newspaper. Patti “slept in” until noontime. We visited in bed and relaxed.

The Masters (a famous Golf Tournament) was on this afternoon and we totally enjoyed watching the Spanish Golfer Jon Rahm win his first ever Master’s Title. We made a Froster run to Circle K, enjoyed dinner at home, and now the time has come for yours truly to publish this Post.

Some Posts “Just write themselves”. This was one of them!
