Finally we have begun to experience some heat here in Lake Havasu City. Yesterday we saw the highest temperature so far this Spring when the temperature hit 101°F and it was in the high 90’s today. All in all it wasn’t that much of a challenge. Rumor has it that as we get older we “do heat” a little bit better. I feel there is some truth to this. Back in late 1963 and on into 1964, when I was living in Phoenix, Arizona, and doing some “outdoor” construction work, the heat bothered me far more than this past few days has bothered me. We have our apartment thermostat set at 80°F in the “cooling mode” and, with our overhead fans slowly turning, we are very comfortable.
And we ARE returning to Alaska on April the 28th hoping to see at least some green grass beginning to show. Our Anchorage friends feel we are not dealing with reality in this regard.
This evening we Three Amigos (Michael, Patti and I) along with Little Bit ..
Watched an exciting NBA Basketball Game that the Los Angeles Lakers won (in overtime) 108 – 102. The game was much closer than the final score indicates.
