JUL 27, 23 .. A TRADITIONAL “RITE OF SUMMER”

Kathleen I really like the way you put it in a recent comment :  “I can’t believe you didn’t take a picture. The universe aligned to give you the perfect opportunity to take that picture. The universe wanted you to take that picture.” 

I’m calling your words “Gifts From The Universe”. Thanks so very much Kathleen.

Here is yet another Post that just appeared in front of us today, a “Gift From The Universe.”

We can’t speak for any of you reading along here with us, but both Patti and I agree that neighborhood Lemonade Stands during the Summer were a real “rite” (a social custom, practice, or conventional act) when we were growing up.

We really “lucked out” because their mother texted us the girls were out in front with their Lemonade Stand. I grabbed Patti saying, “Let’s get right out and give them some business!” And out we two went!

It would have been so very sad to have missed supporting them.

A neighbor and his dog stopped by to join us.

I got really emotional about this small but important summer rite that took Patti (who said that yes indeed she had a Lemonade Stand as a child) back to our own Grade School Years.

When we left, the girls said that so far they had raised $21. They aim to use their “profit” to purchase a special leash for their cat.

Post Script! On Saturday, July the 29th, the girls asked us IF, for $5, we would like them to make us a bouquet of flowers. We said sure! Their bouquet is so sweet.
