I read a lot to Patti. Not just now and then, I read daily to Patti.
As I got to the end of a story (see the below photo) yesterday afternoon, I couldn’t believe my eyes!
So I showed the end of the story to Patti saying..
“Can you believe this? Michael V., from Cottonwood Cove, Nevada, wrote this!”
“Wow! No I can’t believe it Cap!”
We called Tom and Ginny and they couldn’t believe it either.

Cottonwood Cove, Nevada, is on the Colorado River, 14 miles East of Searchlight, Nevada.

On Cottonwood Cove Road, heading East from Searchlight to Cottonwood Cove, we find it is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area!

THE REST OF THE STORY
Many, if not most of you remember that, sometime between 11pm December 23rd and 1am on Christmas Eve day, December 24th, 2021, our GMC Suburban was stolen while parked outside of our room at the Windsor Inn in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
On Wednesday the 29th of DECEMBER 2021, at 3:25 pm, we received a telephone call from the Lake Havasu City Police Department advising us that our 1998 GMC Suburban had been located. We were advised by the Lake Havasu Police Department that our truck had been recovered approximately 135 miles to the North of Lake Havasu City.. in Cottonwood Cove, Nevada, a resort area near Searchlight, Nevada.
AND NOW YOU KNOW.. THE REST OF THE STORY..
This is why Cottonwood Cove, Nevada, is such a poignant and special place to us.
