WE ARE SAFELY HOME IN ANCHORAGE

Sunday Evening, September the 24th 2023.

I am a “notch” beyond being “dead tired”. The past six days have been an incredible challenge. I had hoped to provide you more details about our 6 day trip up to Manley Hot Springs (and home again) in this Post but will have to do it (possibly) in tomorrow’s SEP 26, 23 Post.

OUR 4th ANNIVERSARY

Wednesday, September 25th 2019 to Monday, September 25th 2023 adds up to four years.

So that makes this our 4th ANNIVERSARY.

On Wednesday, September 25th 2019not only did MY life change dramatically, Patti’s life also changed dramatically.

Taa – Daa..

Meet Mister Samsung Galaxy A10 Smart Phone!

The below link will take you back to my Post of  SEP 25, 19.

I really don’t know how anyone can be without a Smart Phone!

Gord, you and I enjoyed quite a few “discussions” about Smart Phones back four years ago.

From dotnet, SEP 28, 19 ..

FROM GORD IN MICHIGAN :

“I’m still a flip phone user and impressed with your new Samsung Galaxy A10. Yesterday I visited my Sprint store and was introduced to the A10 and brother A50, but haven’t made the move or purchase yet. I’m afraid I’ll be in the same predicament you are with a new baby in the family. I’ll be following your progress on learning more about A10. My kids continue to bug me, to get a new phone, but until you did, I hadn’t had an interest. I’ll be watching, best wishes.”

Your kids, the ENTIRE WORLD IS CORRECT Gord.

Move on.

Embrace : Change.

What fun, what joy, and what an experience our smart phones are.

Thanks Ginny for your comment. We are very happy that you enjoyed coming along with us as we headed South from Fairbanks to Anchorage before your medical appointment. Maybe keeping up with us helped get your mind off the medical challenges you face. Smiles .. Cap and Patti

It is comforting to get your report upon arriving home, safely with no mishaps, mental, emotional nor mechanical. Aside from the long hours sitting behind the wheel it sounds as if the trek from Fairbanks into Manley and your cabin were treacherous. Thank God your truck of choice has always been the ‘pseudo Sherman tank aka your treasured Suburban! I’ll always remember our adventure in the Suburban….us 3 departing from your family home in Detroit, under the Detroit River, entering Canada and all the way to Toronto! And OMG! Your treating us on the return trip by showing Patti and me Niagra Falls for our very 1st visit! What a joy! Of course much less challenging than driving the muddy, disfigured rain-soaked gravel roads into your cabin…and back! Whew! You folks must have added 2-3k miles to the odometer, needless the assault on your bodies. So happy you accomplished all of that in near-record fashion and time! Thank you for texting a few mileage indicators along the path.
Time must be getting close for our next visit to The Golden Phoenix. Singapore Rice Noodles are being conjured in my remaining 3 brain cells! lol
Sleep well, get things tidied up and closed up cause I know we’ll be sharing our 3 amigo hugs sooner-than-soon!
Love you both to the moon and back!
    Michael

Thanks Michael so very much for your long and thoughtful comment. I have owned three Suburbans. My first a blue 1985 Suburban named Wallace. Then a brand new, special order, white 1999 Chevrolet Suburban named R. Richardson Richtoffen or R3. And lastly a black 1998 GMC Suburban named Black Beauty. You know Black Beauty well because he lives in Laughlin and Lake Havasu City. I think we drove to Toronto in Wallace because R3 was in Alaska in 2005. I think!! Our Toronto trip was a treasure chest of great memories! Yes indeed, just the driving up and back to Manley was very tiring especially with the mud! Smiles Michael! Cap and Patti
