SEP 30, 23 .. A SECOND “ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY” OF MY “DOTNET POSTING STREAK”

MY PUBLISHING STREAK HERE ON DOTNET. 2022 / 2023

Twelve days ago, on September the 21st, I published a Post celebrating the One Year Anniversary of having published a post each and every day beginning September the 22nd 2022 until September the 21st 2023 for one year.

Along with the above “Publishing Streak” came a second one.

As the “fates would have it”, with no conscious thought or effort on my part, I did not miss one single day in October. To be honest, I didn’t think all that much about it. And November came and went with a post each day. And December 2022 became the third consecutive Calendar Month that I published a daily Post.

I honestly cannot say when I began to think in terms of 12 calendar months of Posts. Maybe in August? 

Today marks the 12th consecutive Calendar Month that I have published a Post. From October the 1st 2022 through today September 30th 2023.

As I stated last September the 21st..

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ALL OF US!!

Each and every single one of you who follow us are important. Without each and every single one of you, neither this second Anniversary or the previous one would never, ever, have happened! That I could actually accomplish this is 100% because of each and every single one of YOU!

SOCIAL MEDIA .. Bah Humbug! Who needs it?

Now I have a question.*

I am ADAMANTLY not a part of Social Media. No way!

I wrote those words and then I “Googled” Social Media.

Below are the top six Social Media Platforms in the world.

1. Facebook.
2. YouTube
3. WhatsApp.
4. Instagram.
5. Facebook Messenger.
6. TikTok

Guess what? As you will see below .. Without realizing it, I HAVE BEEN a member of Social Media, without having a clue that I have been, for some years!

I can NO LONGER PROCLAIM I am NOT on Social Media.

I have had a (Number 2 above) YouTube account “for years”.

I became active in (Number 3 above) WhatsApp while in Mongolia in September of 2019 when I purchased my first Smartphone on September the 25th 2019.

I would NOT be without WhatsApp because WhatsApp is how I stay in contact with friends outside of the United States. Primarily Mongolia, Russia, Hong Kong and England to name four. 

In my research I found out that Facebook purchased WhatsApp February 19, 2014. I also found out that Facebook no longer exists per se. On October 28, 2021, the parent company of Facebook changed its name from Facebook, Inc., to Meta Platforms, Inc., to “reflect its focus on building the metaverse”. According to Meta, the term “metaverse” refers to the integrated environment that links all of the company’s products and services.

*Now back to my Question.
