OCT 1, 23 .. OCTOBER ONE, TWO, THREE .. BEAUTIFUL ALASKA .. KROGER FUEL CENTERS

Let’s begin with..

BEAUTIFUL ALASKA Courtesy of Patti’s Niece

We posted the below photo yesterday, SEP 30, 23.

After publishing yesterdays Post, with hat in hand, on bended knee, with tear in eye, I texted Patti’s niece, and asked : “Have you more photos?”

“I prayed for their arrival and Shazam! There they were!” More photos!

IT’S tough work BUT someone has got to oversee the construction of remote recreational cabins.

Smiling with Thanks from .. Aunt Patti and Cap and all of our readers.

KROGER FUEL PROGRAM\

This program is the “Real Deal” IF you want to save money on gasoline.

In addition to a “Zillion other things that he has done for us”, we will always appreciate Michael down in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, who “Turned me onto Krogers Fuel Program!”

During the month of September, I accumulated / I earned, one thousand nine hundred and five (1,905 Kroger Fuel Points).

“Dad! I need some gasoline!”

So off to our local Fred Meyer (Kroger family of stores) Fuel Center I drove.

Below is the “Local Cost” of gasoline. $4.599 for Regular Unleaded Gasoline.

I “spent some”, but NOT all, of my Kroger Fuel Points..

As a result of using 1,000 of my fuel points, “My” cost of Regular Unleaded Gasoline was $3.049.

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen. Yes Sports Fans everywhere. I saved one dollar and fifty five ($1.55) cents per gallon.

YOU “Do The Math”.  Below, $90.08 divided by 29.543 gallons equals $3.049 per gallon.

I ended up pumping 32.544 Gallons.

I saved Fifty Dollars and Forty Five Cents. (32.544 Gallons times $1.55 per Gallon)

$50.45

Again .. Thank YOU Michael.

“You Betcha Red Ryder!”

Today we are going to watch some football games.

We have no choice as to which games we get to see on our local T.V. station.

Today we lucked out, getting two games of interest to us!

Cap, you are more than welcome! I’ve been a ‘coupon/discount’ junkie for as long as I can remember. For me it comes with living a life of frugality in retirement. So it just makes ‘cents’ (pun intended) to save a few bucks here and there! With the endless escalation of the cost of living it just makes sense to claw back some of the vendors profits! A never ending game of tug-n-pull! lol
I, too, did finagle over 1900 for the month of Sept! I filled my one car’s (of 4) tank and also treated a close friend to fill their’s as these challenging financial times are stressing many citizens! And I pumped the full 35gal between both vehicles! Getting back to my computer I logged onto Smith’s and lo and behold! They awarded me an additional 300 pts for the purchase of the fuel. Needless to say that was an unexpected bonus! Now, game on for this month!! lol
You and Patti have a Truly Blessed Day!
    Michael

Oh My Michael. Oh My Oh My. I am not able to post here in my comments section photos and links because to allow photos and links would open my website up to goodness knows what. I couldn’t keep up with them. As a result I can not answer your above comment as I would like to. What to do. Maybe send you an email with the photo I want you to see. I think this is what I will do.

Here’s the deal Michael : The exact, the precise, the identical thing happened to me when I filled up my gas tank on September the 29th. AFTER I finished using 1,000 points, suddenly, out of nowhere, I too got an additional 300 fuel points added to my account for the month of September!! Today, October the 2nd I called Kroger Customer Service and politely asked them if they could explain why on God’s Green Earth I suddenly inherited an additional 300 fuel points. IF you do the math, I began with 1,905 points. I used 1,000 points so I should have had a remaining balance of 905 points. But NO, I had a balance of 1205 points (1,905 – 1,000 = 905 plus 300 = 1205 my final balance). The Kroger agent could NOT explain this to me. Yes it was over $50 but to get the 300 fuel points for a $50 purchase DOES NOT INCLUDE FUEL PURCHASES! Smiles Michael. More to follow .. Cap
