Thanks to our Guest Contributor Olga, yesterdays Post OCT 7, 23, took Patti and me “Back to Chita”.

So I decided to share some truly memorable photos of Olga, and her English students, taken during our stay in Chita.

Let us emphasize : These photos show some “life highlights” for us. Great and treasured memories!

Olga, our translator while we were in Chita, teaches English. Olga is associated with an English Club located in Chita.

Olga wanted to hold a short, one hour or so, seminar with Patti and me “answering any questions” that her students would like to ask us. 

Now THAT was fun! It was “Katie bar the door!” 

The early arrivers in the front row asked us immediately if they could ask some early questions.

We readily agreed and their questions were (as were all of the later questions) delightful.

The seminar was a packed “Full House”, Standing Room only for late arrivers.

During our stay in Chita, we had several quality opportunities to mix and mingle with her high spirited, enthusiastic students.

What a Hoot! What a Holler! What a Once In Our Lifetime Experience it all was! I wish we could return.

In the below photo, Olga with a red top, is seated in the front row, extreme right seat. 

For the life of me Olga, I don’t recall who the below gentleman was! Can you “coach me up Olga”?

Here is Olga’s reply : The gentleman who you’re shaking hands with .. This is Dubinin Oleg Pavlovich .. Candidate of Medical Sciences, Chief Physician and the Head of the State Institution “Zabaikalsky Regional Narcological Dispensary”, Chief Freelance Specialist Psychiatrist-Narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Trans-Baikal Territory. That’s who is he.

And? Thanks to Social Media (WhatsApp) and email, we can, and we DO, stay in touch with Olga.

    Oh, Cap and Patti..
    I too have absolutely happy memories of those days!! They were challenging because I’m not a professional translator. I am an ordinary English teacher, and this was all charming for me because all that had been happening was like a dream. I had never dreamt before to get immersed into a long standing communication in English.
    I shared this post with all those teachers and students who took part in the events. I hope they’ll react to such sweet memories.
    Well, as for the gentleman who you’re shaking hands with .. This is Dubinin Oleg Pavlovich ..
