A LITTLE BIT OF THAT

Frostbite Frank has checked in with us from Costa Rica.

Just ask Frank (see his below text) how easy international travel often is!

Landed in San Jose after being up all night in Avianca A320 planes that had seats 12″ deep and 15″wide, no lumbar support, 1/2″ of padding, didn’t recline, my knees were flattened against the back of the seat in front, there was insufficient space under the seat ahead to stretch my legs full-length, and refrigerated air blew on everyone perhaps 66-67 degrees. The first flight left LAX at 12:05 on a 4 hr 55 min flight; the second was 1 hr 16 min. I was wearing 3 layers (long sleeve heavy cotton, short sleeve light cotton & T shirt and was cold and miserable. Got to San Jose and they forgot I was supposed to have a wheelchair. After everyone had deplaned and he crew had left I walked 1/2 mile to immigration & got stamped.

My ride was waiting and he drove me to Jacó. I just woke up from a short nap.

I’m worried about my ability to walk. My PA gave me a steroid injection on Friday but I was doing nothing today – I could barely walk. I’m going to try massages and find a Doctor here to try to figure something out. Meanwhile I have no cash and it’s a mile on foot to the teller machine (I can’t get a cab without cash.

Tough start, but it’s all downhill from here. I’m on an adventure which doesn’t kill me becomes fodder for talesl.

And remember : FAITH is the assurance that everything will be OK. That it will work out just the way it’s supposed to to. If it were supposed to work out differently, it would.

A LITTLE BIT OF THAT

As of Sunday Evening, November the 22nd.

I “opened” our Covid Booster shot Pandora’s Box so I feel that I have to keep going with updates!

I am ready to declare that.. If not 100% over the side effects, I am 99% over them. My “aching” left shoulder has “quieted down” to almost normal. In fact, knowing what I now know, that it will be challenging but it will pass, next year I PLAN to get the “annual Covid Booster shot”.

Patti is ready to declare.. Maybe I am 50% of normal. My right shoulder still is bothering me BUT on the positive side, I did sleep very well last night into the mid-afternoon today Sunday.
