A LITTLE BIT OF THIS..
Major League Baseball’s World Series began this afternoon. The Arizona Diamondbacks are playing the Texas Rangers.
For some reason, neither of us are really clear on this, both Patti and I did not think that we would be able to watch this year’s World Series. We had not been able to watch any of the prior playoff games.
We had checked online several times and I think we only saw various streaming websites no major networks.
Resting on our bed, we “checked our smart phones for an MLB update” and saw the first game was underway. Then Patti, not yours truly, said “Let’s check again and see if we get the World Series. It is odd that a Major Network is not covering it.”
Back to our smart phone we went and YES! It showed that Fox IS televising the World Series!
So out to our television we two trotted, turned it on and, VIOLA! There was the game! Live in color in our living room.
So we watched the game beginning from the bottom half of the 1st inning until the Texas Rangers won on a “walk off home run” in the bottom of the 11th inning.
We are very pleased that both Arizona and the Texas Rangers are in the World Series. We were “rooting for” both of them to get to the World Series.
We spend a lot of time in Arizona so we are more for the Diamondbacks but we are NOT at all against the Texas Rangers. It was a fun game to watch.
We will “stay with it” until a new champion is crowned.

Hooray and congratulations go to Ginny’s son Bobby. After 4 years of schooling and tons of hard work to become an electrician, Bobby recently took his State of Michigan test and passed!
Bobby I hope you teach young Evvy NOT to put a hair pin into an electrical socket! I did this one time only as a child.
“That is great Daddy. I will get back to you after I finish with my foot!”

Yes, the major TV networks bid on the Series separate from the season games. Same as football, hockey, etc. Apparently FOX won the Series so you can enjoy.
Follow the advertising money huh? The major networks have the funds to go after the World Series as opposed to the playoff games leading up to the World Series. Again, had Patti not said, “Let’s check it out!” we would not be watching.
