NOV 21, 23 .. THE NFL AND A BLAST FROM THE PAST

No!

This Post is NOT only about the NFL and the game we watched.

Yes, Michael our host, and Patti and myself watched Monday Night Football. The final score was much to our liking! The Philadelphia Eagles 21 – 17 Kansas City Chiefs.

As happens quite often when we are watching sporting events, I get bored with a game and want to stop watching BUT, as she so often does, Patti again “Kept me watching a game that I was getting bored with.” During the halftime break,  I wanted to go from the game to taking a long nap at Michael’s home. Then I actually said to both Patti and Michael, “Let’s quit watching this game and watch the movie ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind”. Let me, allow me to say, That Suggestion Did Not Fly with either Patti or Michael. So I “stayed with the game” and it ended up to be a very interesting 2nd half.

Perhaps The Evening Highlight

Michael has a sweet, adorable, small dog he calls “Little Bit” because, she IS a “Little Bit”.

Well “Little Bit” decided to come over and sit up beside me on what might be a large doggie bed. Out came my smartphone (I had been texting Detroit Tiger Tom all during the game) and I took the below photos of “Little Bit”.

“Little Bit” IS family!

Smiles “Little Bit”. Up to now the below photos are all I have taken of “Little Bit”.

A BLAST FROM THE PAST

November 21, 2018

Irkutsk, Russian Siberia.

The below Post shows where I was and what I was doing five (5) years ago today. Can this be correct? Five years have passed into the pages of time.

I’m very happy to come back to your pages! I’ve missed you so much! It seems as if I visited you at your place ☺ And “Little Bit” is here wearing the same harness as my cats, even of the same colour! And the size of “Little Bit” is of the same size as my cats! ☺ I wonder, if they all are from one “Little Harness” fan-club?! ♥

Yessiree, Bob! To be settled in with my most favorite friends watching the Monday NFL rematch between K.C. and Philadelphia! Oh, boy! And what a Monday Night NFL match it was! It seemed as K.C. had the game locked up in the 1st half of the game yet we intuitively know that it ain’t over till it’s over! That left the question of whether or not the Eagles would “wake up!”. The saving grace factor for Philadelphia was that K.C. was playing one of it’s worst, and lowest scoring halves in many games. A rarity, but they opened the door just enough to win by 3 points. And K.C. did not score a solitary point in the second half!! Still, it was an exciting game probably because the victory was up for grabs. And The Eagles claimed it. Good for them. They were the underdog for this one big rematch! And Cap, thank you for capturing pictures of Little Bit in so many unique ways. I had no clue you were taking photos throughout the evening. It is no easy feat to catch Little Bit in any relaxed pose….she’s camera shy for the most part. But you captured her essence very well. I’m so happy to know she loves you both, and vice-versa! Also, thank you for the stellar idea and thought to call and ask me if I would care for a subway sandwich last night. I felt so fatigued and hungry after battling leaky, welded plumbing pipes under the kitchen sink. I got up early this a.m. (Wed) and soaked them with baking soda and vinegar, and a like-minded friend who is a plumber called @ 8:30am and came by and attacked. I don’t know what loosened the shut-off valves easier, his brute strength or the soaking of baking soda and vinegar, but virtually took no great act to loosen and replace them. Still, it was an all day affair here at the house and he and I got all leaks stopped and brand new shut-off valves in their place. It is a genuine relief to be able to turn the water back on inside the house. I woke up early this a.m. @ 3:30 so I rolled out @ 4am and have been going every since. Reading of your early morning escapades convinces me that you know exactly what it’s like to be sleep deprived and still driven to get things done. That’s what I admire about both of you. You show me the way. I am forever grateful for you, Cap, and our precious Patti. I’ll chat you in the am. (Thurs/Turkey Day), or see you at 3:30!
Love and big ((Hugs)) from both of us, Me and Little Bit!

Great news about your plumbing project Michael. What a relief that is for you. All in all I came away feeling that the Kansas City Chiefs are the better team BUT the better team doesn’t always win. Look at your Los Angeles Dodgers this year in the post season. You betcha it is difficult to photograph precious Little Bit but I was able to get some good shots of her. Big smiles Michael. Cap
