DEC 21, 23 .. THE WINTER SOLSTICE.. EVVY HAS ANOTHER BIRTHDAY AND A VISIT WITH SANTA

Today, Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 6:27pm in Alaska, will mark this year’s winter solstice for the Northern Hemisphere, bringing with it the shortest day and longest night of the year. Solstices occur twice a year when “the sun’s path appears farthest north or south, depending on which half of the planet you’re on.

Up in Alaska, the winter solstice IS a bigger deal than down in the lower 48 states, because the night is really long and the day is really short.

All over the world, in the Northern Countries, there are festivals and traditional celebrations honoring the winter solstice, many are thousands of years old.

Patti and I are REALLY HAPPY to be here in Arizona.

From Kit in South Dakota..

Thank You Kit!!

With Evvy’s feet moving around Patti wonders if she is going to be a dancer!

Happy 7th Month Birthday to You Evvy.

Sweet photos of Evvy on her first ever visit with Santa Claus.

What an absolutely amazing Santa!
