JAN 5, 24 (2/2) .. WHEN DOES IT GET EASY?

I forewarned you. Delete Before Reading. Who Cares?

January the 4th 2024

As we were leaving Anchorage in mid-November to come down to Arizona for the winter, I asked my Dentist in Anchorage if by chance he knew any dentists here in Lake Havasu City. He contacted associates in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, with no luck.

We have a primary care doctor here in Lake Havasu City as well as a gastroenterologist due to my several visits to our local Emergency Room beginning on December 30th 2021. Plus our many Mayo Clinic medical staffers.

BUT no dentist.

I have been “secretly dreading” having dental problems with no dentist here to consult.

I am willing to bet that some, or maybe MANY, of you have had sudden dental problems arise while eating something soft and smooth.

Today, as I was eating my breakfast, the dreaded “Oh Oh” happened.

Something suddenly just happened to my teeth in the upper left side of my mouth. I got up, spit out everything in my mouth, cleaned my teeth with my Oral B Water Pick and electric toothbrush, ran dental floss between the teeth where the “Oh Oh” happened and picked at and around the area with my dental pick. I could NOT tell anything at all about what was going on.

I was not dressed and, in my bare feet near our kitchen sink where I brushed my teeth, I stepped on “something sharp”. Ouch! Then I picked up the “something sharp” AND??

It was part of a tooth. I will die, and, I will  pass away and never ever know how on earth the fragment of my broken tooth got onto the floor!! Impossible. Absolutely Impossible BUT it happened.

During a visit last month, I had asked my Primary Care Doctor here for the name and address of HIS Dentist.

Long Story Short (Just ask Patti) .. I was able to get to his Dentist and get an appointment next Monday the 8th at 3:30pm. This alone was a small miracle. To be able to walk cold into a dental office and get an appointment this quick.

My brand new, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, dental office.

What IF this is a major problem? Do I fly back up to Anchorage to see my trusted dentist there?

Think about it.

By The Way! So far, knock on wood, I have absolutely no pain whatsoever from my tooth! For dinner we had nice, soft, Pasta Roni, and I chewed totally normally.
