Today I will writing about, not one, but two significant Lake Havasu City annual events..

First..

Yesterday (Saturday the 13th) we began by going to the Lake Havasu City Convention Center to check in to volunteer at the event next weekend.

Saturday, January the 13th, 2024 – 9am to 10:30am

The 13th Annual Havasu Balloon Festival & Fair

At the Convention Center we formally and officially signed in, confirmed our assignments, picked up wrist band identification bracelets, Volunteer T-Shirts, badges etc.

A very VERY nice T-Shirt.

Whew! So far so good. A bit of waiting in a long line. More waiting to get signed in, pick up T-Shirts. But all in all it was fun.

Out and off the two of us drove.

Second, the two of us drove over to visit The 27th Annual VW Buses By The Bridge Show that began this past Thursday, January the 11th.

Below is an “up close” look at the above newspaper article.

By Wednesday afternoon, dozens of Volkswagen bus owners had lined up in preparation for gates opening the next morning.

So, fresh from signing up over at the Balloon Festival Headquarters, we headed for the VW Buses Show.

Patti waited in our GMC Suburban and read a book and I set off to explore the show.

Yes Oh Yes there were other activities underway for all ages.

HELLO Football Fans.

Today is Day Number Two of The 2023 – 24 Playoffs. 

This afternoon the Green Bay Packers travel to Texas to play the Dallas Cowboys. Then this evening the Los Angeles Rams travel to Detroit to play the Detroit Lions.

Patti and I are very interested in both games and plan to watch them.
