The gentleman was terminally ill. He passed away doing something that he really loved doing and wanted to visit the show one last time.
Could it be that one’s passing couldn’t be too much better?

Tonight we have the final two games of the first weekend (aka Wild Card Weekend) of the 2023 – 24 NFL Playoffs.
The Pittsburg Steelers travel to Buffalo to play the Bill’s and the Philadelphia Eagles travel to Tampa Bay to play The Buccaneers.

Today (Sunday the 14th) Patti and I watched an amazing, absolutely stunning game, in which the underdog Green Bay Packers destroyed the Dallas Cowboys in a monumental upset GB 48 – 32 Cowboys. The game wasn’t actually that close.
Then “our” Detroit Lions won their first playoff game since January 1992 “edging out” the Los Angeles Rams 24 – 23. It was too bad for the Rams and their fans because they lost because they missed an after a touchdown extra point.
To put it mildly, even though the Lions won, the game was a rather tense “nail biter” for us because we so wanted the Lions to win.

That Green Bay score is quite deceptive. GB took out a lot of first string players in the fourth quarter.
Exactly why I wrote .. “The game wasn’t actually that close.” I failed to point out the fact that, in the 4th quarter, leading 48 to 16, Green Bay took out players so they wouldn’t get hurt and be lost for the game with the San Francisco 49ers this upcoming Saturday the 20th. Maybe I don’t understand something but Mr. Croley’s death is dignified. I believe he is blessed by God because he passed away doing something that he really loved doing. I bet, he lived a good life and he was free in his choice…
