There are many days when I sit down here at our laptop and, more or less, have to figure out what to say here.

Havasu Landing Casino.

Eddie is our close neighbor here in our apartment complex.

Eddie goes across Lake Havasu over to the Havasu Landing Casino, three times a week, we will say 48 weeks a year. A very devout gentleman, Eddie misses religious holidays (Easter, Christmas) and generally special holidays (New Years Day). Otherwise, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, at 1pm Eddie leaves his apartment, catches the 2pm Ferry Boat over to the Havasu Landing Casino, plays “The Slots”, catches the 3:30pm Ferry Boat back to Lake Havasu City and is home at 4pm.

And? Beginning with our very first Monday, November the 20th, here in Lake Havasu City, I have been joining Eddie on his forays over to Havasu Landing (that is actually located in the State of California by the way).

Monday December 25th was Christmas, Monday January 1st was New Year’s Day, Monday January 8th, I had a dental appointment, so my last trip with Eddie was Monday December 18th. “Almost” a month ago!

It IS fun. It IS great to “Hang Out” with Eddie once a week.

So today (Monday January the 15th) “Out and Off” Eddie and I went to visit Havasu Landing Casino.

When you “Hit” a Jackpot, there is a lot of noise, bells and whistles, light shows, and commotion!

What did I win?

I “won” $22.65 in Slot Machine Credits.

Translation : I did NOT win $22.65 cash that I could take home with me.

Translation : I got to play $22.65 worth of Slot Machine Spins with “House Money”.

Translation : At 50ȼ a Spin, I got to play 45 Spins. Any money I won playing with “House Money” I got to cash out and keep.

To begin my “free” 45 Spins, I pressed the Start Button you see below.

Then I began to win actual money as a result of my “free” 45 Spins.

Then I had another Big Hit.

On this Hit I won .. $23.21.

When the session was over I cashed out my winnings.

I came with $20 to play and I went home with $28.59..

In my opinion, unless it is absolutely of no concern what you spend on Slot Machines, you have to be diligent and disciplined.

It is Oh So Easy to “Get Caught Up In The Moment” when you hit a payoff and begin “Spending your winnings”. 

I take $20 to play. I get four, $5 dollar bills. I play 10 spins with each $5 dollar bill and then cash out my funds. I make a vertical line and then play a Spin. Because the Slot Machine is constantly showing the status of your declining $5 bill you get lost without keeping track yourself.

One lady visitor who was attracted by all of the commotion of Wonder Woman came over asked me if I minded if she played Rocky Balboa. Following my own personal Slot Machine etiquette of course I said : “Yes Please. Go Ahead. Good Luck.” She sat down at Rocky Balboa and on her third spin she won $17.00! 

Next Monday the 22nd. Out and Off with Eddie I will go.

“I was Ready for some NFL Playoff Football”

I absolutely wanted the Buffalo Bills to win their game with the Pittsburg Steelers. The Bills win forces the Kansas City Chiefs to travel to Buffalo next Sunday the 21st to play the late afternoon game. This Bills vs Chiefs game should be a do-not-miss playoff classic!!

Voila!

The second game decided who would travel to Detroit next Sunday the 21st to play “Our” Detroit Lions. I was as “Neutral as I can possibly  be” as to who won the second game. I feel the Lions can beat either team. Will they? Does The Shadow Know?
