JAN 23, 24 .. HOO BOY.. HERE WE GO LOOP DE LOOP

Heard “In The Rooms”. IF you didn’t want to go to Chicago, why in the word did you get on the train to Chicago!

I am tired this Monday evening. A quick Post and off to bed early.

Then off I went “On The Train To Chicago”.

Translation : Off to bed early does not fit with where this post ended up going!

A little bit of this.. 

Where do I begin?

Beginning January the 18th, and continuing through yesterday January the 22nd, for the past five days my primary focus here on dotnet has been the Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair. Yes indeed, I have also covered some other topics such as Gullible’s Travels and the NFL playoffs, but hopefully you “get the idea”, my primary focus has been on the Balloon Festival.

As a result, I have not published contributions texted to me and I have totally (at least here on dotnet) lost track of Frostbite Frank now in Italy.

I will begin with yesterday, Monday the 22nd.

A little bit of that.. 

Monday the 22nd of January 2024.

It more or less, rained all day today.

We felt like “Getting Out” so Patti and I took the Lake Havasu Ferry over to Havasu Landing to play “Our” slot machines, Wonder Woman and Rocky, at the Havasu Landing Casino.

To get to the Casino you ride the Lake Havasu Ferry.

There are two entirely different Ferry Boats that ply Lake Havasu.

In the below photo, the larger Ferry Boat on the left is far and and away the most common ferry in use. In fact I can’t remember ever having ridden in the much smaller ferry on the right until today.

Some days playing the slot machines are better than other days.

Today we didn’t do “All That Well” playing the slots. 

We put $20 into Wonder Woman. And she paid us back $6.48. Translation. We lost $13.52.

We put $20 into Rocky. He paid us back $9.43. Translation. We lost $10.75.

Bottom line. An afternoon of entertainment cost us $24.09. We’d have paid about that to eat out.
