MAY 6, 24 .. ANCHORAGE, ALASKA.. MOTEL 6.. WHAT!!??

We both know, and we both understand, some of you are not able to check our website daily.

To have a better feel for this Post, and our current ANGST, or to refresh your memory, by clicking onto the below link, you can quickly to go back to last Saturday’s Post, MAY 4, 24.

It IS a lengthy Post.

Bottom Line.. You only think that you got 100% of last Friday’s story. I was so tired I simply could not write one word more than what I wrote at 2 o’clock in the morning.

An instant synopsis.. Last Friday was an extremely challenging and exhausting day. We got into Anchorage, we picked up our Chevrolet Suburban (R. Richardson Richtoffen) and we drove to our Condominium.

We.. both.. were.. exhausted!

We.. both.. were .. dead.. on.. our.. feet!

Get it? Got it? Good!

And now (thank you Mister Paul Harvey) ..

THE REST OF THE STORY

– – – – – – – –

When we got home after arriving in Anchorage, we drove to our Condo only to find that..

We had no heat in our Condo!

It must have been 45°F. We are “desert rats” who have just come out of the desert. Out teeth were chattering!

MOTEL 6 – ANCHORAGE, ALASKA..

Here we are. The middle of the night. After a challenging day. Having to get a room.

For only one hundred and forty ($140) dollars a night, we checked into Motel 6, Anchorage, Alaska, for three nights.

We were probably lucky to get a room on the weekend!

Our Motel 6 room is very warm and pleasant.

Above and below, you can see Mister R. Richardson Richtoffen, our white Chevrolet Suburban.

Now you are “up to date”.

– – – – – – – –

Today, Monday the 6th of May, we have to go to our Anchorage Condo Association Office and get our loss of heat issue resolved.

This probably won’t be resolved by a snap of the fingers.

We have booked a room to stay tonight here at Motel 6. Thinking we probably will be here tomorrow (Tuesday) night or longer.

Further words fail me.

No heat? Bummer. You have electric heat. Did the electricity work otherwise?

Motel 6 prices are a little different than Outside, aren’t they?

Hi Gullible. Thanks as always for your support. No we have hot water from a boiler not electric heat. To be honest this Motel 6 is only slightly higher in cost than our Phoenix Motel 6. This Anchorage Motel 6 is FAR superior to our Phoenix Motel 6. .. Cap

Oh, what a wicked ‘chill-pill’ to have to be faced with upon return to your humble precious home. OMG! Not in the wee hours, even! One of the hazards of being a globe-trekker and moving between different abodes. Alaska has always been notorious for those mishaps…winter freeze, pipes, and home heating breaking down. I know you will update us on the developing events. Meanwhile, I’m grateful you found temporary refuge.
    Endless love and big ((Hugs!))

Yes Oh Yes Michael. We did not want, like or need this little drama. Motel 6 saved the day in many respects. More to follow. Cap and Patti
