MAY 11, 24 .. NATIONAL TODAY..

NATIONAL TODAY..

NATIONAL EAT WHAT YOU WANT DAY.. On May 11, we celebrate National Eat What You Want Day! Restricting yourself from your favorite foods can be difficult. So on this day, people are encouraged to treat themselves by giving in to their sweet tooth, carb-loading without having a marathon to run, and eating breakfast for dinner. Because on Eat What You Want Day, no one can tell you what NOT to eat.

FULL RANKING OF FOODS AMERICANS WOULD EAT EVERYDAY IF THEY DIDN’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES.

#1: Pizza (13%)
#2: Pasta (12%)
#3: Burgers (11%)
#4: Ice cream (11%)
#5: Tacos or burritos (9%)

Of the 25 Holidays for May the 11th, I picked the above Holiday.

Patti liked WORLD MIGRATORY BIRD DAY and NATIONAL WINDMILL DAY.

She did chuckle to herself and “thought about me” when she read NATIONAL EAT WHAT YOU WANT DAY!

Smiling.

I wish, Oh How I Wish, it was all sunshine and roses here with the two of us. Such it not the case.

Patti has not yet received any significant relief from the symptoms (almost constant coughing and fatigue) she is being treated for. Yesterday (Friday the 10th) was her first full day of her antibiotic regimen. Daily for seven days she is taking two pills for the pneumonia. Daily for only three days she is taking two prednisone pills. And “as needed” she has an inhaler (Albuterol). We both are happy we went to our local Emergency Room last Thursday.

Patti should request a referral to a pulmonologist. These complaints have gone on long enough. It seems like a constant problem .

Gullible, Patti has pulmonologists on call at the Mayo Clinic. She sees them each and every time we visit the Mayo Clinic. Patti has also seen pulmonologists in the greater Detroit, Michigan, area as well as here in Anchorage. Sad to say Gullible, modern medicine simply does NOT HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS TO ALL MEDICAL ISSUES. Yes it is a constant problem Patti grew up with a mother who smoked incessantly. Thanks for you support Gullible. Cap and Patti

Wow what a month! I pray that the antibiotics and prednisone are starting to kick in and help alleviate the symptoms. Chicken soup is good for helping mucous move along, better than hot water or coffee. At least that was the result of a medical paper I read back in the early 80s. And they really only tested sinus drainage. But I reach for chicken soup whenever I am ill. Or in the case of this year, when I am having severe dental issues. The dental pain was so bad in January, I had to blend the soup because even chewing on soft noodles hurt. It tasted so good blended, yes, better than normal soup, that I blended it again when I had more dental work last month. Seriously, I hope that you are feeling a bit better, Patti.

Thanks Kathleen. Yes, you are correct, what a month. No! As of Saturday evening the 11th of May, Patti has not received any really noticeable reduction in the coughing and malaise. Tomorrow ends the 3rd day regimen of prednisone. An upstairs neighbor gave us a large helping of an amazing Chicken Soup from Costco. It is really good and we had no idea Costco sold such an item. It is in the refrigerated foods section. Wow on your dental challenges for the past four or so months? It hurt to chew soft noodles. Whewie. We both hope that you are past your dental challenges. Thanks for rooting for us Kathleen. Cap and Patti
