AUG 22, 13 .. STATUS UP-DATE OF MY EYES ..

Yesterday I had another in a series of weekly appointments with my eye surgeon to check the status of my eyes following cataract surgery in both my right and my left eyes.

My right eye continues to be just fine.  I will continue with one prednisolone eye drop three times a day in my right eye until August 31st at which time .. all things continuing to go well .. my right eye will be deemed ‘healed’.

My left eye remains a bit-of-a-problem.  Our eyes seem to have eye pressure.  A pressure of 15 to 20 seems to be normal or acceptable.  The pressure in my right eye measured 15 which is either acceptable or very good.

My left eye .. which had some complications during surgery .. has an eye-pressure issue.  Following surgery on August 8th .. during my post-op checkup on August 9th .. the pressure was in the mid 40s.  Last week .. August 14th .. thanks to some additional medication .. the pressure was in the mid 30s.  Today the pressure in my left eye was down into the mid 20s.

Ending September 6th .. my left eye will receive one prednisolone eye drop three times per day.  It will also receive one nevanac eye drop three times a day.  Lastly .. specifically for eye pressure .. my left eye will receive one alphagan P eye drop two times a day.

This past week .. anytime I wanted to make myself feel woozy .. I would think ahead to the removal of a ‘stitch’ placed into my left eye August 8th during surgery to keep the cornea and the iris in-place.

Patti also was concerned about this.  As in .. “I wonder how Cap will do when the stitch is removed from his left eye.”

I have said several times during this eye adventure that ..

I LIKE AND I RESPECT AND I TRUST MY EYE SURGEON!

He said .. “There will be nothing to removing the stitch.  You won’t feel a thing!”  He said this last week on the 14th when I subtly ‘asked’ him to delay this procedure until next week.  Next week was yesterday the 21st!

As I got a tad woozy .. and as Patti .. watching the procedure .. was concerned .. into my left eye he went.

HE WAS 100% CORRECT .. IT WAS ‘NOTHING’!

So on September the 6th I will .. if all goes well .. end this grand adventure with a prescription for new eye glasses.

THANK YOU WHO ARE FOLLOWING ALONG HERE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Smiles and Joy .. Cap and Patti ..

I am having a ‘ Missing-Hong-Kong ‘ day.
