NOV 10, 24 ( 2 / 3 ).. LIVE FROM THE ANCHORAGE AIRPORT..
Our Yellow Cab taxi was right on time. We had a great visit with a driver from Ireland. He was a Casey. My Mother’s maiden name was Casey. So we had a great visit. Patti and I spent a month in Ireland in the summer 2006.
He came up to our condo front door and carried our bags to his taxi. Great service!
Because we were very early (we were at the terminal at 3:48am for our 6am flight) we did not have to wait at all for our four bags to be weighed and checked.
Our wheel chair attendants were waiting (sometimes it can be quite a long time for wheel chair service) for us and here we are at our boarding gate at 4:27am.
All is well. All is swell.
Over and Out.
Cap and Patti.
This is Part 2.
Will there be a Part 3?
Does The Shadow Know!
- NOV 10, 24 ( 1 / 3 ).. OFF WE GO INTO THE WIDE BLUE YONDER..
- NOV 10, 24 ( 3 / 3 ) .. PATTI AND I ARE SAFELY IN LAUGHLIN, NEVADA..
Aren’t you usually going to bed at 3:15AM? This must mean you will miss a night/day of sleep. I haven’t been up all night in a very long time. If memory serves me (50/50 chance here), it was to catch a very early flight to Toronto for a weekend party. Or maybe a week long party, I can’t remember that part. It was fun though. At this stage of my life, I would be stumbling around and trying to drink regular coffee without setting off my a-fib (it appears I can get away with one, maybe two cups if I stretch out the time between – I usually limit it to zero cups though, just to be safe.) It’s 8:07PM PST so I am thinking you’ve landed in Vegas and are on your way to Laughlin. Hope it all went well. I’m glad you were able to catch the 4th quarter of the 49ers game. There was a lot of yelling at my house. My poor cat Rocky wanted to sit on my lap but accidentally got launched when I jumped up to yell at the tv. After that, he avoided me. He did eventually forgive me though (I may or may not have bribed him.)
Kathleen I try to be in bed “for the day” between 12 midnight and 1am. Patti has insomnia and she can’t accurately predict when she will “be asleep for the night”. If I had to guess Patti (on a normal night with no insomnia) in Anchorage tries to go to bed “for the day” between 2 am and 3am. Yes I only got four hours and four minutes of sleep commencing at noon on Saturday until now 7:52 (Anchorage time). What a 49ers game. I was thinking about you as it “played out”! Cap
