DEC 15, 24.. DANNY Z 48073.. HERDING CATS..
Saturday Evening, December 14th, 2024.. a/k/a Yesterday.
Like a Zephyr .. (a gentle breeze.. a light wind)..
Danny Z, our long time friend and ally, from Royal Oak, Michigan, blew into Lake Havasu City last Wednesday. This evening, after our Saturday Night Speaker Meeting, as if a Zephyr, Danny headed for Phoenix in the dark of night, to check in tomorrow morning at 4am for a 6am flight back to Detroit, Michigan.
Patti was not able to join Danny and me in our activities today. Patti still is croupy with an almost constant cough and certainly is in medical distress. I asked Patti this morning if she wanted to visit our local Emergency Room and she declined my offer.
Danny and I attended two (12 noon and 7pm) meetings, and did some other projects (fill up his rental cars gas tank, Home Depot for a project of mine, etc.)
The highlight of the day?
Danny REALLY wanted photos of the three of us together. So our neighbor Debbie, came to our rescue and snapped photos of us.

I thanked Debbie texting her..
Perhaps you will
forget tomorrow
the kind words
you say today,
but the recipient
may cherish them
over a lifetime.
Saying to Debbie.. “Debbie, you may not remember what you did for us today, but the three of us will forever treasure the photos you took of us!”
Danny you will be missed!

Amazing!
At 11:35pm Danny (who left Lake Havasu City at 8:10pm) called to say he was safely AT the Phoenix Airport!

When I was checking out National Today’s website, I saw this holiday.. Cat Herder’s Day.
I thought “What on earth is this about?”
So I checked it out.
HERDING CATS..
December 15 is Cat Herder’s Day!

Although the only job remotely close to cat herding is working at your local animal shelter, this holiday is not dedicated to cats.
This celebration is meant for those who can manage others and themselves no matter what chaos is thrown their way. The idiom, “like herding cats,” was popularized during a Super Bowl commercial in 2000 by EDS. They compared their ability to serve others like cowboys herding cats – with ease. Since then, the phrase is mostly used to describe those who can lead and handle life even when it is uncontrollable. The term is also considered a skill workers use when leading a group towards one goal.
Got it!

NATIONAL TODAY / NATIONAL DAY CALENDAR.. Are the sources of most, but not 100%, of the information on our various “Days” such as today.

Cap, Great photo of the three of you. Patti’s cough, maybe a bacterial or fungal infection. I had Aspergillosis and was coughing all the time. Was diagnosed through my sputum at UofM. Hope she gets well soon. Best wishes, Gord
Who knows what it is Gord. There seems to be several very bothersome (sometimes fatal) “bugs” going around. Our experience is that our current medical system does NOT have “all the answers” to them. So nice that you now know how to leave comments here on dotnet Gord. Smiles .. Cap and Patti
I feel for Patti. She seems to catch something every winter that leaves her coughing and debilitated. Hugs, (oh, maybe not too close)…. handshakes, Patti.
Thanks Gullible. Handshakes it will be. She is really in great distress. Cap
