MAR 10, 25 ( 2 / 2 ).. HAPPY 63rd BIRTHDAY DAVID.. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME.. NAPS..

My youngest son, David, was born on March the 10th, 1962. Now here he is, approaching his mid-sixties. Whewie! The time sure flies past all of us.

Happy Birthday David! Will you be going to Yosemite National Park this year to celebrate your birthday?

Yesterday was “Spring Forward”..

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME is here again for the vast majority of residents of the United States.

The time adjustment already “hit Patti and me”. We (like clockwork) call a friend up in Anchorage, Alaska, on Sunday nights. Up until yesterday, there was a two hour time difference. So calling at our 9pm was 7pm in Anchorage. We called at 9pm as usual but now her time is 8pm not 7pm.

Yes! She survived!

For Tom and Ginny in Laughlin, Nevada, “life just got a little bit easier”! Now they are on the same time both in their Nevada residence and across the Colorado River in Bullhead City, Arizona where they do a lot of their shopping.

Thanks for the above photo of you two and and an Oatman, Arizona, Burro.

Speaking of Oatman, Arizona, and the famous Oatman Burros, they have been causing some problems.

If you want to re-visit Oatman, and see the latest Burro news, please go over to Google Blogspot and check it out.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ADJUSTMENT SUGGESTION..

TAKE A NAP.

Or so says NATIONAL TODAY / NATIONAL DAY CALENDAR..

Ever feel jet-lagged after daylight savings?

March 10 is National Napping Day.

It’s the perfect day to help you recuperate from the “spring forward.” Don’t doze off as I tell you this, I promise this won’t be a snooze fest! Napping is actually scientifically proven to be better for you than coffee or energy drinks. So now you can feel less guilty about enjoying this not so guilty pleasure. You may have lost that extra hour in the day but you can feel like you caught up on some sleep by celebrating the day in style.

National Napping Day was created in 1999 by a Boston University professor and his wife. William Anthony Ph.D. and his wife Camille Anthony created this holiday to spread awareness on the importance of getting enough sleep and its benefits. The holiday was meant to help make up for the amount of sleep lost when the hour changes. The date was chosen because studies have shown that people are already at their most tired and sleep deprived after daylight savings changes. The change of the hour really makes a difference, but National Napping Day can make you feel like there was no change at all.

Yes! There IS more. IF you want more just click onto the below link.

SLOT MACHINES WITH EDDIE..

Monday. Today Eddie and I ride the Lake Havasu Ferry Boat over to the Havasu Landing Casino to “play the slot machines”. Rocky is the one I will be playing unless.. ..  I score a big hit on Rocky early and decide to continue on Wonder Woman or Gold Fish or Kung Fu.

I am currently “ahead” $104.19 so I am playing with “House Money”!

OUR TRADITION..

In March, McDonald’s features its Shamrock Shakes.

So last night Patti and I got our Traditional Shamrock Shake.

Seven Dollars and twenty seven cents ($7.27). We hate to tell you what we used to pay for them.

And they used to be much fancier. Below is our March of 2017  Shamrock Shake in Needles, California.

Change!
