MAY 18, 25 ( 1 / 3 ).. THE SAGA OF THE PELICAN BRIEF AND PATTI..

This Post is about yesterday..

Saturday the 17th of May 2025.

As all of you pretty much know and understand, Patti reads and reads, book after book and then Patti reads another book.

About once a week, no matter where we may be, we make a trip to our local library and Patti picks out, usually from two to four hard cover books she has not yet read.

Yes Oh Yes! Patti has an up and running Amazon Kindle E-Reader BUT, Patti prefers to read books she can hold and just relax with while enjoying them.

Patti has quite an “Elaborate System” consisting of many pages of notes listing the books she has read going back some years now. One of her pages of notes is shown in the 2nd photo below.

Too funny. Rarely, but once in awhile, and yes it does happen from time to time, Patti will suddenly exclaim! “I have read this book!”

And like all passionate book lovers and readers, Patti does have several “Favorite Authors”.

One of Patti’s all time favorite authors is John Grisham. He has written 48 books. Currently John Grisham has written 37 consecutive consecutive number-one fiction best sellers. His books have sold 300 million copies worldwide.

The below photo shows Patti’s John Grisham Books Read list.

Now the “Plot Thickens”.

If you look closely at the very top of the above list of John Grisham’s Books Read, you will see that, thus far, in spite of looking for it for MANY YEARS NOW, Patti has never yet found John Grisham’s third book titled The Pelican Brief. Note there is no check-mark beside the third book on the above list.

So this afternoon, while I was doing some shopping at Walmart to give Patti a lot of free and relaxing time to peruse books to read at our local library, because Patti already had selected four books, and “had some time on her hands” she said to herself, “What the heck. I may as well look and see IF, just an “impossible maybe”, they have The Pelican Brief.

Patti.. Almost.. Fell.. Down..

There it was. Under John Grisham, alphabetically filed, The Pelican Brief.

Two photos of an absolutely joyous Patti are always better than just one photo.

And?

Now..

this very instant..

As I write this Post..

Guess where Patti is and what Patti is doing?

Reading the book she has waited YEARS and YEARS to find!

Big Smiles..

Cap and Patti

In her comment 2 to this Post .. Kathleen left the below comment:

Patti, why is one book written in red? A particular reason or it was the only writing instrument you had at the moment?

The below photo of Patti’s John Grisham Book List  shows what Kathleen is talking about.

Below is a “close up” look at the Red Colored Entry..

Patti’s answer was : Yes! Bingo Kathleen. All I can think of is yes it probably was the only writing instrument I had at the time. Smiling Kathleen .. Patti

Well Gullible. We have extensively “Googled” the word Mobvoe that you used in your comment along with John Grisham and his books. None of his books (that we can see) begins with an “M” let alone any with the word Mobvoe. Any suggestions as to what you mean by John Grisham and Mobvoe? We even “Googled” the word Mobvoe with no results. We also called you and left you a voice mail message. Your Allies.. Cap and Patti

We would have never, as in NEVER EVER, gotten from Mobvoe to Movie Gullible without your translation! Thanks so very much! Smiles.. Cap and Patti
