JUN 18, 25.. SENIORS PLEASE READ THIS POST.. FRIENDS WHO LIVE ALONE..

Good Morning Gord! Have you got your “Morning Coffee” with you and are you ready to “Read on”?

Gord Oh Gord.

Gord you basically live alone.

If something should suddenly happen to you, Patti and I have absolutely no person we can contact to ask:

“We haven’t heard from Gord in awhile. This is unusual and we are concerned about him! Is Gord O.K?”

Gord can we please have a way to contact someone who would know how you are? Someone who knows who we are so if we ask them about you we are not total strangers.

Thanks Gord.

Smiles .. Cap and Patti

Several years ago a “Best of Friends” who lived alone just “vanished”. It took Patti and I months (MONTHS) to find out what happened. It was not good.

He had gone to Brazil. Had a fall on a boat. Returned home to the United States and passed on (died).

A couple of weeks ago a friend of over 30 years “vanished”. This was a friend who was compulsive about instantly replying to text messages and phone messages. A friend who “suddenly” did not respond to several text messages and also to several phone messages from both Patti and me that were spread out over a week.

It has now taken us well over a full week to find out what happened! Alive but not a good outcome!

If by chance one of you reading this, who understands what we are talking about, and takes action with a friend who lives alone, our mission today to assist our readers and followers is complete.

I help my friend who is older and very disabled that lives alone. She texts me and another friend each morning and eve. This way we know she’s okay, and she knows we are too. I’ve heard other stories of people who put a sign in the window each morning so their neighbor knows they’re up and about. Even though I strongly prefer the company of my pets and livestock at the barn, I know I too need human connection. We all do. So yes, if you are solo in life, make that connection for your safety as well as the emotional well-being of humans with whom you are connected.
My best to you Cap and Patti as you learned about your friend. Hugs from way over here.. Kit

Great Kit BUT.. BUT.. BUT.. Patti and I have friends all over the world as well as all over the United States. So it is physically impossible for us to use any such measures. We need to talk to our closest allies and get from each of them a special friend we can call when, or if, they hit a medical crisis and are incommunicado. Better still one with whom we can develop at least a casual relationship so if our number one “vanishes” they recognize us. Great comment Kit. Cap and Patti
