MAR 1, 14 .. A PATTI-UPDATE ..

First a photo of one of our Post Offices (Mid-Town) here in Anchorage and the view there-from!

Below is the Mid-Town Post Office located just-behind the Loussac Library here in Mid-Town Anchorage.

Stepping off to the right of the above photo and looking out at the scenery from that ‘vantage point’ we see the below view.

Oh-My-Oh Lord God Of Abraham! THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTY YOU HAVE SO BESTOWED UPON ALL OF US WHO CHOOSE TO SEE IT!

And?  Thank You Oh God of Abraham who gives to us Doctors and Nurses and Pharmicists and numerous various Medical Professionals and Researchers and OH YES our friends to whom we can turn in times of our health-needs.

Two Patti-Updates.

1.  Last Wednesday the 19th of February at ‘noontime’ Patti and I visited her Doctor.  Patti has now finished her regimen of anti-biotics (Levofloxacin) and her lungs have vastly improved.  Under normal breathing conditions her lungs are no longer spasming. HOWEVER IF she takes a deep-breath and immediately forces all the air out of her lungs (Doctor’s sure know how to ‘test’ us don’t they?!) then she begins spasming and coughing and etc!

Accordingly Patti will remain on her inhalation medication (two puffs twice a day) Advair for an additonal ten days.  She will also continue to take Codeine/Promethazine cough syrup and Ricola Natural Honey Lemon with Echinacea cough drops to keep her coughing ‘dampened’.

Patti is NOT even close to being 100% out-of-the-woods!  Better? OH YES! Last Thursday Patti was ‘scheduled’ to have lunch with a friend.  At 10:30AM Patti’s chum called to say that she (Patti’s chum) was not-up-to-lunch because she was feeling poorly.

And? Patti rolled-over in bed and proceeded to sleep-like-the-dead another 3+ hours until 1:45PM!

I ‘texted’ her chum and THANKED HER for helping Patti by calling lunch off!

2.  OH MY!  We have a restaurant here in Anchorage across from our Mid-Town Wal-Mart called The Outback.  At our local ice hockey team games (Please Captain NO MORE Ice Hockey Game Posts! /s/ Your Followers!) if our Alaska Aces score 5 goals The Outback gives all the fans in attendance at the game a gift certificate for an order of Outback Blooming Onions.  The Aces 6 – 1 victory over ‘Zilla’s Ontario Reign a week ago gave to us one of The Outbacks’ Blooming Onion gift certificates.  So?  It’s your and your Ontario Reign’s fault ‘Zilla!

An Outback Blooming Onion is one GIGANTIC sweet onion battered and deep-fried and dripping with cooking oil.  I have never seen anything like one.  One Blooming Onion must equal four or even five or six orders of deep fried onion rings!

And?  After seeing Patti’s Doctor last Wednesday the two-of-us went to The Outback and ordered up and ate every speck of one complete Blooming Onion!

And?  Patti lived to see the next morning!  And? Patti did not suffer nor did Patti experience so much as one teeny-weeny-itty-bitty-speck of a problem with her GALLBLADDER!

And? Patti’s Gallbladder attack Last September the 19th seems to be ‘past history’.

And? THAT-IS-IT for any future Outback Blooming Onions!  The two-of-us surely must have temporarily LOST OUR EVERLOVIN’ MINDS!

And? To the ladies of the former firm of Messrs. Wendell Kay .. Les Miller and Bob Libbey you KNOW where to come if you want to ‘get-the-Patti-facts’.  Patricia sure will not OUT herself!  “How are you doing Patti?” .. “Oh I am fine!” (cough gasp pant puff-puff wheeze turn red!)

With a wink and a smile and NO Patti-proof-reading I will now hit PUBLISH.

IN a few hours .. literally 6-1/2 hours .. THE IDITAROD SLED DOG RACE from Anchorage to Nome Alaska will begin!

And? It’s IDITAROD TIME IN ALASKA!
