FEB 22, 14 .. ICE HOCKEY IN ANCHORAGE ALASKA

Patti continues to recover from what appears-to-me to be a somewhat severe case of Asthmatic Bronchitis.  On Tuesday the 18th I finally called Patti’s doctor having been totally unsuccessful to get Patti to call him.  Snap-your-fingers quick Patti suddenly agreed to go see him (as in immediately) and as Patti went to see her doctor I went to Anchorage’s airport to meet Gullible fresh-back from her latest world-adventure consisting of her three-week trip to Africa.  IF you are not following her web site .. just use the link to the right here to see her phenomenal posts of this her most-recent world-adventure to Africa!

Armed with four prescriptions Patti immediately began the path-to-recovery from fifteen (15) days of almost constant coughing and hacking and spitting-up-phlegm .. unable to sleep-at-night in misery .. etc!  Next Wednesday Patti will again see her doctor for his up-to-date evaluaton of her condition.  He told Patti that he was going to treat her condition ‘aggressively’.

And? .. And? .. And? .. What has this got-to-do with Ice Hockey?

With Patti down-and-out and laid-low and sleeping and resting .. Patti needed for me to be ‘out’ providing her with a very quiet home atmosphere.  So I spent a lot of time out running errands and at the local library using the internet as I am now doing while Patti continues to rest home at the condo.

And? I took-in two of the local Alaska Aces Ice Hockey Team’s games .. Wednesday the 19th and Friday (yesterday) the 21st.  On Wednesday Skip and Jan and Aloysius and Sunshine joined me (my treat) and last night Lyman treated me to a game.

So here we go with some more photos of Sullivan Arena and the games.

Below are several photos of Anchorage’s Sullivan Arena showing you that winter still exists up here in Alaska!

We who attended the two games could not believe the difference-in-play between the Alaska Aces and the Ontario (California) Reign from Wednesday to Friday!
