Hello NATIONAL TODAY..
We are not quite sure why NATIONAL TODAY has two “almost identical Holidays”. One is a NATIONAL Holiday and the other is a WORLD Holiday.
Photography is one topic that Patti, along with me, and also along with MANY of YOU, can certainly relate to!

We have NATIONAL Photography Day..
And we have WORLD Photo Day.
National and World Photography Days, are celebrated on August 19.
The celebration of World Photography Day dates back to 1837 in France. By inventing the ‘daguerreotype,’ two Frenchmen named Joseph Nicephore Niepcce and Louis Daguerre created the first photography process.
In 1884, George Eastman of Rochester, New York perfected the daguerreotype method. He replaced the copper plate with a dry gel on paper that he dubbed film. This technology eliminated the need for photographers to transport heavy copper plates and dangerous chemicals.
George Eastman then created the Kodak camera in 1888. His invention made it possible for almost everyone to take a photograph.
With the rise of digital photography, many individuals no longer use film in their cameras. Some photographers however prefer film over digital photography. One of the reasons they prefer film photography is that it includes greater resolution.

WET MACULAR DEGENERATION..
Post Script: Today, August the 19th, 2025, I will have my seventh (7th), Wet Macular Degeneration (AMD), eye injection. My previous AMD eye injection was last May the 29th, a little under three months ago.
My first ever AMD eye injection was back on Friday March the 8th, 2024, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Excellent day to celebrate! Yesterday a professional photographer came with my realtor to take pictures of my home. It will be on the market Thursday, so we can move to the ranch.
Happy Photography Day however you celebrate. You, Cap, are quite a photographer as well. I’ve always loved your ability to capture amazing buildings, oh and a moose here and there.

I just recently decided to buy a new modular home to set on the hill in the prarie. It will be much safer for us.
Keep taking your beautiful pics, especially of yourself, Patti, her flowers, books, and your daily surroundings. I know all of us here love those.
