On September 5th, 1936, yours truly, entered this life!
Today I celebrate my eighty ninth (89) birthday and begin my ninetieth (90) year.

A MEMORY..
Thirty one (31) years ago.. Sometime around late August 1994.. I was back in Royal Oak, Michigan, visiting with three other friends. All four of us had either celebrated recent or had imminent upcoming birthdays.
One of us said: Can you believe this? “We are all Pushing the Big Six O”!”
After awhile we paused and the fourth friend, Bill in who’s home we were having the above discussion, said after a long pause..
How about this guys? “I am Pushing the Big Nine O”
And here I sit, now a mere one year from “My own Big Nine O”!

A MEMORY.. Not a Birthday..
On this date, my birthday, September the 5th, 1997, Mother Teresa passed away. I was blessed to have been introduced to her, and then worked actively with her Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India, during three visits to India beginning in 1992.
On my birthday, and on the passing of Mother Teresa, it was September the 5th in both Calcutta (late evening) and (earlier in the day) here in the United States.
Patti met Mother Teresa when we two were in Calcutta, in 1996. We both worked in and visited a number of Mother Teresa’s various missions. We share a lot of warm and lasting memories of that 1996 visit together.

What an experience working with Mother Teresa was, to actually to have been a small part of her world, for three visits to India Kit. Amazing that there actually are people who are critical of her and her great works. Shows Ta Go Ya! You can’t be everything to everyone in all places at all times. Cap
Happy Birthday, Cap! You have sent many positive ripples and good vibrations traveling outward through this world and the universe at large for 89 years, and they are still traveling and reverberating the “good” in countless ways you will never know. On to number 90!
