SEP 10, 25.. SEPTEMBER 10th, 2025.. HERNIA SURGERY..

 I asked Patti.. Should I “Go into this?”

Patti said.. “YES!”

SEPTEMBER SONG..

It’s a long, long while from May to December..
And the days grow short when you reach September..

MAY 2025..

No! I am not able to give you a day nor a date BUT sometime late in the month this past May, I began to have some “issues” down in my groin area.

I commented on the “issues” to Patti because they were indeed “challenging”.

I kept telling Patti.. “I am not ready to go to our local Emergency Room (ER)”.

June the 26th I said to Patti. “We are going to the ER NOW!!”

In perhaps the most frustrating ER visit of my and Patti’s lives-to-date,  we learned absolutely, positively nothing!

August the 8th, six (6) weeks later (this delay alone could be a chapter in this book) I finally was able to see my Veteran’s Administration (VA) Primary Care Doctor!

My Doctor said simply, “You have a hernia.”

“What to do?” I asked. My Doctor said… “Ignore it and risk your life!”

The same afternoon, within a hour, the VA gave me formal recommendation to a local Hernia Specialist.

August the 25th I was (finally) able to see, in person, a Doctor who specializes in repairing hernias.

The VA was correct, I had a hernia.

I was told .. “We are at least six (6) weeks out for a Surgical appointment! So mid-October is possible.” 

Two days later somehow (details fail me) I was able to again meet in person with the Hernia Surgical staff. 

Here we go loop de loop.. Here we go loop de li!!

I was calmly told (trust me, I nearly fell out of my chair in the examining room) by the staff.. “We will conduct a pre-operation appointment this upcoming  September the 4th with Surgery to be on September the 10th.

That is today Sports Fans.

I check in at 8:30am.  Surgery is scheduled to begin at 10am today!

I.. AM.. READY..
