NOV 11 ( 2 / 2 ) .. BACK “HOME” IN LAKE HAVASU CITY..
When I sat down to begin, what has turned out to be two Posts, I was immediately greeted with this most unwelcome challenge: NO internet.
This is bad news because there is little or nothing one can do when this happens. You just spin in little circles. You restart your computer.
After about 20 minutes of frustration, I called my webmaster Andrej back in Detroit and told him I needed him to publish a Post saying: “Cap has no internet so there will not be a Post tomorrow on Veterans Day.”
Then Voila! I had internet.
Now I have written what has turned out to be a two part Post.

Monday, November 10th, 2025
My first Monday back in Lake Havasu City.
For several years now, when in Lake Havasu City, Monday means a trip over to the Havasu Landing Casino with my neighbor Eddie.
A very nice boat ride.
A visit with Rocky and Wonder Woman.
Last Spring, The Havasu Landing Casino began to give Military Veterans, once a month, twenty dollars free to play the slot machines. I asked IF they still had this program and yes they still do.
So I played my $20 in free play with 20 $1 spins. When I finished I “took home” $10.76 of Casino money.
I love the little Lighthouse the boat passes going to, and returning from, the Casino.

To Feel Good? Do Good!
When I finished playing Rocky, I casually spoke to another senior citizen, a man (Joe) wearing an Air Force cap. He served in the Korean Conflict back in 1953. He is age 92 years.
Joe had “no clue” about the $20 free play for veterans. So I took him to the Casino Service Counter and we found out he did not even have a Players Card. So Joe got $15 free for being a new Players Card Member and $20 as a military veteran.
Then I showed him the “in’s and the out’s” of free play.
Trust me! There ARE several “in’s and out’s”.
During the process, Joe introduced me to two grand daughters who thanked me profusely for having taken “Grand Dad under your wing.” Oh Yes. Joe (a widower) thanked me over and over and over again for my interest in assisting him.

As it always seems to be, it was fun “hanging out with Eddie”.
